In the score card do you get your actual score?As far as I know you get only your relative performamance viz a viz other candidates right?
The reason why I'm asking this question is that I have seen some posts in which ppl claim that "last year topper had scored 38 in quant".Just wanted to know the veracity of these statements

yes u get onlyu relative scores....but philip the guy on this board had a score of 38 according to his calculation....he was a 100 percentlier

No, you would not know your "actual" scores in CAT.

What happens is that on forums like PG and yahoogroups we get to know the scores of the toppers. This would be the 100%ile in individual sections. For example, Phillip had a 100%ile overall AND a 100%ile in QA. He calculated something like 38. So we know that. Similarily John on pg, had around 45 in VA and had a 100%ile in that (apart from 100%ile overall again).

You cannot make out anything from ur cat scores. they comew out with random numbered high security jargon called normalised score which does not give you any idea at all abt anything at all.
