Yaar, got frust after taking the paper. Did not feel like posting the scores.... While taking the mock I felt english was easy and after feeling to clear the english cutoff in last mock I gave 50 min to it. As usual, it backfired ...

I think TIME is going the IMS way. If the highest goes around 70 for three consecutive mocks it does not speak well of the balance of the paper.. Anyway, who the hell cares for the mock scores. We are going to bang on the Dday..

I literally screwed it, no one else but myself to blame...

Downright stupid mistakes in QA cost me dearly. Sample :Q71-73(number sys) it is mentioned that local values are to be taken from left to right but me as usual in my own world took it right to left and the rest as they say is history !

Sample another one... cubic eq given, what min value of x will it be positive, I tried with 3... very small -ve diff, so thinking myself to be too smart marked 4

net result 15/9/6.. only 1 outof 6 is a genuine mistake. WTF, i dont want to make such mistakes on the DDAY.

VA/RC:- easier than 516.. but I dont know wht struck me at RC, got 6 wrong, i feel RC was of same diff level as 516, some of ans choices were very close, infact too close for comfort!
Suprisingly, i tend to do much much better in IMS RC, dont know wht happens when i see TIMEs RC? In fact I am seriously having doubts abt VA/rc as my strong point ;-(. disgusted with my accuracy level 32/23/9.

Finally DI, only good thing, calc intensive but managable, again made 3 Idoitic mistakes, when will i learn.

Ive probably not been takin this mock cat thing too serious..am into a lot more in life so..saw ur responses this time..
i have 99% last yr with one call..so i feel i can judge the paper..
well anything below 55 in this paper is sad and i say that from experience..after regularly practicing for 6 odd months quant this paper should be easy..cat never has predictable stuff..a lot of on the spot thinking reqd..
va was very easy by cat level and rc was a shade tougher..but easy on the whole
i screwed DI coz im not studying at all for cat..but i feel this paper can by all means be called easy.
any reactions?

hey there. nobody is complaining about the unpredictabilty; most of the question forms were standard; DI was probably the easiest section with 20 for the taking, but i fell quant will keep most under 15 and VA under 25. but yes, 55 would be the score i would aim for if this were cat and i wanted to get in!

sec1eu..38a 27 c 11w 23.33 for 26,27,29 ..the answers given seem dubious to me..
got 26,27,29,30 wrong..
attempted 4 passages..good hit rate..
sec2 qa..17a 13c 4w.. 11.67 missed71,72,73 ..which i thot were sitters.. cutoffs(?)
sec3 di 26a 21c 5w .19.33 did most of the qns i cud do..no regrets here..
overall
81 a 61 c 20w total 54.33
shud come in the top 100..

Hi

I think the english part was quite usual. Usually i take up a lot of time to do the para jumbles so this time i skipped them all which actually helped me. i attempted 34, got 27 right and 7 wrong. So a net of 24.66. decent i guess.
Then quant. I am really proud of myself whenever i cross the 12-13 mark in this section as i have a MAJOR block as far as quant is concerned. attempts-20. right 16 and net 14.66.
DI..... less said the better. I really need to do the reciprocals and stuff. LR is usually very faadu time ka (which is usually my saviour). started calculating, then left the process midway. got very disconcerted.



TOTAL---14.66+24.66+ bhagwan ki marzi( i believe in miracles)

After scoring 50.67 and 45.67 in 515 and 516 respectively ....today luck was in my favour and scored heavily in Verbal for the first time which helped me in putting a better performance (compared to last 2).

I regularly attempt 37-45 questions in VA/RC and get 20-25 correct (Score between 15- 22). I thought same will happen again but to my surprise I got only 11 mistakes(Very good to my standards) Time given - 40-45 min.
Hope this piece of luck is on my side on the D-day

Started with DI gave it 42 min Wasted arnd 7 min solving LR set which I totally messed up . Was more careful while solving DS as it was more than a debacle in the previous mock (Got 5 off 7 right. However the answer key says a particular q could be answered using 1 and I still have to get convinced abt this one)

DI 16/8/13.33


My strength area . kept it for the end . Had arnd 25-30 min.Pressure was high, Tried to spot few sitters and got many mistakes today but hope I have managed to clear the cutoff
Quant 17/7/14.67

Total 67/26/58.33
