well if i am getting rit then my answer to the question is just being in the IIM-A does not make u a very successful & famous personality.
wat does ur frnd wanna know how many very well known and successfull personalities has the IIM-A produced.

well ask him is being very well known the only condition on which u measure ones success, there mit be a lot of ppl who be very successfull but not so glamorous and well known as Banga & Bhogle.
u cant make all actors to be a shahrukh or amitabh.

well i have a lot more to say over this but later...

DOES A GREAT B-SCHOOL ALWAYS PRODUCE A GREAT MANAGER?

The answer to the question lies in the question
HOW DID IT BECOME A GREAT B SCHOOL?

Think about that.

Hi,

I think that it is a cycle. Good schools ( with excellent infrastructure and good faculty) get good students who then become quite succesful and so other good students get attracted to that school and the school gets even better.

However, I think that rather than the B-school it is the innate capabilities of a student that makes him succesful. A degree from a good B-school just gives an excellent headstart enabling one to jump several levels of hierarchy right at the beginning of his/ her career and so the person's progress becomes quite fast.

Bye.
