Career Avenues Institute???

Hi,
Anybody knows about this institute called Career Avenues (http://cavindia.com) material for preparation for CAT? Have come across a paper ad about it and called them up to know that they have 25 mock for 1100. Any body knows about the standard of this material and anything related to it.

better to select out of IMS/TIME/CL

If none of them are present in your city go for CF or PT....

Otherwise go for corresponding cource

Hi,

I am not sure about the correspondence course, but classroom course is good. I suppose they must be using the same material.

I am a student of Career Avenues, and I find the material of fairly good standard. I have also given free Mock Cats of IMS and TIME, and got almost equal percentiles in all places. I am happy with my preparation so far. Had joined Career Avenues 3 months ago for the Advanced program after speaking to many pg'ites.

I really wonder based on what statistics do you say this ?

The CAV in Bangalore is real good and Amit (the proprieter) is the most sane person in this MBA education field I have ever met in my life.

Can anyone informed of Career Avenue tell me whether its material is a good bet or not?

I went thru their website...they are sounding a touch different from normal instt atleast in their lingo....dunno their inner worth though!!!!..

I am planning to get a correspondence course of them. I think many of the PGites should be knowing about it.....Someone who followed the mat. and got through would help me a lot......Please give me a rough idea of their material(what it consists of , no. of mock cats etc....)

Quality of the correspondence material is very good. Just go for it!
If you are in Bangalore dont miss classroom course. I did attend Classic Quant Workshop ( 6 sessions) last year. 8 - 10 questions in CAT2004( around 15 Mark, which is good enough to have 92%ile + ) were exactly similar to the questions we soved during the workshop

I dont understand why we end up equating quality with price. I have been a student of CAV and can say that without taking tests from any of the biggies, have made it to the place i am in now.

So just do not go by the name..... Content matters.

I guess if you are in banglore, u shud not miss out the classroom sessions. i guess thats what clinched the deal for me...

Hey,

I had joined Career Avenues for their 2 week long GD/PI course..I think its a good option..Its a smaller institute as compared to the Career Launchers and the IMSs..but then that has its advantages too..And as Psychodementia mentioned, Amit who's the proprietor is very good..he personally takes interest in all his students.
