PT PRacCAT #3 - 29-09-2004, 03:01 PM

Hey guys,
How was the Attempts at the Prac CAT #3 this sunday

I was a lttle off the focus and manged to really mess up the paper.
But all and all i feel the paper was pretty easy and anyone witha decent prep could have managed at least 65 +.

The quant was a giveaway and 20+ was achievable.
RC and English was again very easy ( typical of PT ) and 30 + coudl have been achieved.

DI was a disasater as there wasn't any Graph qst i could attempt - i was totally dumbstruck.

I guess a score of 65+ could get into a 99 %ile bracket.

Whatsay - share the knowledge,
sam

WTF??
Was expecting a score of 35, 8 and 16 in verbal, QA and DI respectively. (as according to PT's analysis booklet).
Got the shock of my life after logging into their results page....my scores are given as 0.0, -0.25 and 3.5 in the 3 sections, with a net score of 3.25. #@!#@!!@ !!!!!
My total number of attempts shown matches with the actual, but there seems to have been some horrible mismatch in the correct and wrong answers. I know for sure that I didnt mess up the OMR sheet marking as i mark it after every question and not in batches. So what gives? Anyone else facing this problem?
There's this test form number 222 given on the question paper but i dont remember seeing that on the OMR sheet. Or did I miss out something like this?

I've just about run out of patience with the socalled "Professional" Tutorial guys. The marklist that my centre has received says that my score is indeed 59, the online results still say my score is 3.25, centre doesnt know what my AIR is and neither do they know what the f*k is going on, PT headquarters has put up a list of top 250 scorers and my name (and I wonder how many others too) doesnt figure on it (though it should have been around the 130rank mark), and PThq doesnt bother to reply to emails asking them what the hell is going on.
What was that again, "Professional" Tutorials??? Hah!!

Wohi!!

How come nobody has put their marks on PT Mock CATs anywhere. I did try searching for the scores of diff people but couldnt find em.

Anyway - here are my scores for PT MOCK 03 which I took in the suchy noisefree environs of my room.

VA : 40/35/5/33.66
QA: 18/15/3/14
DI: 19/16/3/15

Net score : 62.66 (I had the advantage of being told that a 60+ is 99 %ile )

Strangest thing - A score of 62 in PT is capable of getting you a below 100 rank. My performance was really lame in this paper. A 70+ was easily achievable but my attempts have gone down. Just 75. Damn I am losing out on th eurgency thing.!!

Anyways - people post in your scores and feedback about how did you feel the paper was??

Cheers
Vikram

hi,
I've taken all the PracCATs at home. Felt the Quant sec was way too tough compared to the AimCATs.

could any1 compare them with the prev yr's CAT pprs and give a rough estimation of the level of difficulty plz.(all the secs if poss.)

I somehow don't feel getting a score of 20+ in 40 min is all that easy in the PracCATs. or am I mising something
