CAT form not received by IIMA yet?

hi folks,

I had couriered my application form for CAT 2004 on the 12th of August through DTDC courier service. I have a recieved acknowledgement for the same dated 13th of August.

The webiste (IIMA) still says that my form had not been recieved.

I have called their office several times and just yesterday I faxed and couriered this letter to them:

Dear Sir,

After having called and emailing your admission office several times I still am in the dark about the status of my application form (application form no: ****** & Cat bulletin number: ********)

I had couriered my application form through DTDC courier service (Mumbai) on the 12th of August for which I have a received acknowledgement dated 13th of August. I have also called up the DTDC office and they say that my form had been delivered on the 13th of August, but when I check my application status using your website I get the message that my form has not been received.

The first time I called your office on 2nd September I was told to call on 6th. When I called on the 6th I was told to send an email (copy of which is enclosed). I have emailed and there has been no response for over 12 days. Once again I emailed your office, and it has been over 4 days and I still haven’t got a response. Just yesterday I called your office and was told to call on 27th. I now fear that when I call on the 27th I will be given yet another date.

I request you please look into the matter and convey to me the status of my application form, if still in process, or not received, so that I can take the necessary steps before it becomes too late.

My 2p: Perhaps it might not be the right thing to state at such a juncture... but the CAF clearly states that applications shud be sent either thru Speed Post or thru Regd. Post... cant say with surity, but ur using a courier service cud be the reason...

Anyways, b +ve with the follow-up...

yup, I realised that later, but many people I know have couriered it, and get a positive message on the website. It does, however, give the authorities at IIMA something to say, incase its them who've screwed up.

hi .. same case here. Sent form to IIM B on 2 Sep by speed post. Confirmed by speed post ppl that it was delivered on 4th.

But the IIM site says form not received. Called them up and they said site not regularly updated. Asked me to wait for the admit card by Oct end .... wat a lousy response !!!

Thanks for responding catabull. I agree, that's a lousy example they're setting.

To be honest I'm still worried cause you've sent your form almost 20 days after me.

Hey my form sent on 2nd september 2008 is showing not recieved by IIM-A.I checked the speed post site.It said reached Ahmedabad on 3rd Sept.My friends who sent on the same day;their forms status show recieved.Can I do anything about it.Anybody??please.

Please check the date of the last post. You have bumped a 4 year old thread. Please search properly before posting. Please check the thread before posting.

Best thing you can do is call up their IVRS number and email them. That will help you in knowing the status of your form.

Dont worry. I am sure it must have reached them and its just a minor error related to updating the status on the website.
