Junction: Management Festival by CL - 22-09-2004, 07:42 PM

hello to all..

I just heard from the yahoo grp urpercentile that CL is organising a management fest called Junction. The details are given below..

It is a sincere request to all PGites attendin this fest to share the information given, the knowledge imparted etc...esp in crackin CAT...I am frm Goa and wont be able to attend it...surely there will be many like me...so its important that we share info of this management meet...

Dear Students,

With about 60 days left for CAT 2004, there must be a lot of things weighing on your mind. Some of them might be very trivial and some could be extremely important or shall we say critical. Things like which institutes to apply to and on what basis, the deadlines to submit admission forms, etc. really cause a lot of stress and confusion at this point of time. However these are necessary questions which you have to deal with; no options here In your pursuit of an excellent management education and the best way to probably go about seeking answers would be to take them straight from the horse's mouth.

In line with the same spirit, we at Career Launcher invite you, the future CEO/Business Leader to our annual Junction: MBA, The World of Management to be held in Welingkar Institute of Management on the 25th and 26th of September, 2004.

What is unique about this event is the support that some of the leading business schools in the country have given to this initiative year after year. In the past years, students have has an opportunity to interact with institutes like SPJAIN, MDI, ICFAI, Welingkar etc.

Each of participating institutes will have their individual classrooms where they will be holding presentations and counselling sessions. Some of them will even use this opportunity of meeting around 2500 students and sell their forms at the venue. (That should save a trip to the bank for many of you!).

In addition to this, Career Launcher will even be organising a series of educational seminars to address student queries on form filling, MBA specialisations and career opportunities. The seminars on MBA specialisations will feature professors from many of the top institutes and many successful alumni who will be providing the industry angle to the event. The schedule for these is at the end of this mail.

So, what do I stand to gain?

Good question! Here’s what you get out of the seminar:

* Get to know about the various MBA specializations, to help you make an informed choice
* Interact with top B Schools and buy their forms on the spot. Interview your interviewers!
* Learn how to crack CAT!
* Get a feel of the competition you’re facing
* Hear speakers like Mr. Mahesh Murthy, the man who launched MTV in India and Prof. R.S.S Mani, a prominent HRD Consultant and an eminent management educator.

How do I participate?

This event is free for any person who will be giving CAT this year and students can collect passes for this event from any Career Launcher centre from 21st September onwards. All Career Launcher students will be given their passes when they come for their classes and others are welcome to drop in any time and collect passes for themselves.

We look forward to make this interaction very useful for your careers and hope that even you will take the initiative to make the most of this opportunity, after all

Opportunity + Initiative = Creating your own destiny...no doubts about that.

All the best.

(i havent mentioned bout the venue and the schedule...u can take it from the CL website)...

It is a sincere request to all PGites attendin this fest to share the information given, the knowledge imparted etc...esp in crackin CAT...I am frm Goa and wont be able to attend it...surely there will be many like me...so its important that we share info of this management meet...

am sure the info given will be helpful to all PGites...
