this is the easiest of all AIMs till now.

but i goofed up the whole paper like anything.

I -- 14/10/4/8.66 (thought i am ok at quant till now)
II -- 32/20/12/16 (in 506 the figures were 26/22/4/20.66)
III -- 25/21/4/19.66 only +ve out of the test
IV -- 16/12/4/10.66


for a moment i thought i was improving. 507 is a good wake up call.a horrendous 14 attempts in 30 min in quant & a horrible and sickening accuracy of 60% in VA when it was 84% last time. am i being over confident time to wake up b4 it too late.

hi guys,

todays paper was far easier than the rest. rc and va were dead cheap. suzy may have even maxed these sections. qa was of medium difficulty, some questions too easy, some required a little bit of calculations. di was definitely above average. no real easy caselets. none of the figures were easy to manipulate.

personaly, i was saved by me english. di and qa need a serious revival

One of the simplest MCATs i have ever seen though accuracy went for a toss. Should have done better with same. Total is around 65+ should get a rank of around 500 maybe.

QA worst with 18Attemps and 6 wrong(so tuf luck) anyways 100+ is a sureshot for toppers

I agree paper was a lot easier (but generally 4 section are easier) but saying that a score of 100 would be breached is far fetched. Actually the the point where 99.5 lies is more important because beyond this point you start having.

Lets analyse the paper section by section.
As a general rule as the number of section increases the cutoffs drop drastically. So I dont think people having more than 95% would have much difficulty crossing the cutoffs.

Section I

It was standard quant section for a 4 section paper. (refer to pre CAT-98 papers to understand what I am talking about). Though it had some easy but tricky questions(16,17,22,23). Lot of people who attemted those questions would know what i am talking about.

So anything from 18-25 is a good score depending upon time 25-35 mins given to the section.

Section II

Due to my verbal inability I am not the right guy to comment on this section but I would do it anyway After consulting junta after the mock I can conclude that this section was on the difficult side. But since it is the attempts/min is highest in this section people giving less than 30 mins would definately loose out (except for ppl like suzy ) Anything from 23-30 is a good score depending on the time 30-35 mins given to this section.

Section - III

This was the surprise packet of the day. This is the section which makes it this AIMCAT different from AIM505. It was comeletely straight forward atleast passage III,IV,V which lot of the junta attempted. SPM (score per min.) of .8-1 was attainable making it best scoring section. Anything from 19-27 depending on the time given 25-35 mins would be a good score.

Section IV

Standard DI section. Ideally nobody should have given more than 25 mins this section as it has only 35 questions. Anything from 15-20 should be good score given the time 20-25 mins

All in all a score of 70+ should give you a 99.5%

Well below century. In all I attemptd 103 questions. 42 in Quant/DI. Rest in VA/RC.
Not counted the scores yet

Infact it would be first time in 2 years that someone would be scoring 100 plus in TIME mocks if at all this happens in 507.

I've been following these threads by your group...thought wud share my scores too this time. Following was my break up:

quant: 23/3/19
va: 43/13/25.66
di: 20/6/12
rc: 29/2/27.33

a net of 84...but accuracy's pretty poor. got 24 wrong out of an attempt of 116.

Jus hoping...if only CAT turns out to be like this. Either I have done pretty well, or have thoroughly been misled.

Have just taken a new year resolution, not to check the score key ..... last thing I want to do screw my weekend , so confining myself to Vassolraja and trying out some obscure mock cat paper.
