Accuracy ? - 24-08-2004, 11:45 AM

Hi all,

I m new to this group.

I just wanted to know whether accuracy matters in CAt or not?

EX-
CASE I-
If i attempt just 15 questions genuinely in MATH section & get 4 incorrect,my score would be 11-1/4=10 3/4.

CASE II-
And instead of 15 mentioned above,if i attempt 40 questions of which 25 are pure bluffs & get a total 20 incorrect out of 40,my score would be 20-5=15.

Total Attempts- 40
genuine attempts- 15 , 4 incorrect
bluffs- 25 , 16 incorrect
Total Score = 15

What would u guys prefer/suggest?
CASE I or CASE II ? WHY ?

Waiting in anticipation.
Regards,
mik

hey i would prefer
the first one...
No one knw how much is deducted for the wrong answer...it may be 1/4 or 1/3..
also remember fraction of mark can make ones dream or break ones dream..

more over 18 correct attempts is fair enuff...

All the Best
Chow.

dude its highly unlikely to get 9 correct answers out of 25. I tried it in some mocks.
[tab:7bc0865aca]1st : 15 bluffs, 3 correct. net marks = 0 (taking 1/4 negative)
[tab:7bc0865aca]2nd : 20 bluffs, 3 correct. net marks = -1.25
so do try ur luck before u do it in actual exam.

PS: if i get 9 corrects off 25 bluffs, i'll anytime go for bluffs.

its me.. the Great_Gabbar
