Applying to IIMs now enough?

hey guys, since my cat scores are pretty low so far, i dont want to waste in applying to 10-15 institutes..so can i apply to MDI,IIFT,Sp Jain, etc after I see my performance in the actual NOV 21 cat?

keep a track of all the last dates.if my memory serves me right,most of the dates were after the nov cat fr me.so i think u can make a call fr most of the instis based on ur performance.but mark all the last dates as the ads come up.

well whats ur scores like.. dont think even S P Jain and MDI will take very low scores.Infact instead of thinking abt this better look at working harder.. its too early to be disheartened.

Hey dude!
Its too early to get disheartened. There are still 95 days to go. Keep a proper track of your mocks and try to improve your score in the section in which your accuracy is the worst. Give more importance to accuracy than to no of attempts. An attempt of 80 with good accuracy(>85%) will fetch u all GD/PI calls. Also take care of the sectional cut-offs as IIMs and MDI are very strict in this regard.
For applying to different institutes, keep a track of their last dates and if it is after CAT u can take the gamble, else apply as the date comes.

Hope u regain ur tempo for CAT.

Hey GUYS....

Dnt get disheartened so soon. Adn just keep faith on urself. Mock CAT score are a good indicator but never full-proof. Last CAT i got a % of 99.73 with final selection in IIM L. But u kno what my score in TIME AIM CAT previous to actual CAT were......PATHETIC.....i took last 4 AIM CATs of TIME and in each of them my score ranged from 35-45 and in some of them i even cudnt clear sectional cut-off. But Actual CAT and the D-DAY is a great leveler.......

Just dnt think abt ur marks now. Just keep trying and may the D-DAY is urs.....

BTW even now in TIME AIMCAT, m not getting good score......

hey even i have similar messages for u ppl..
see u will see a sudden spurt in ur performance after few weeks or months..
there is lot of time still..
last yr mdi insisted to apply b4 cat dunno what will they do this year,,,
spjain and other give lot of time...
write jmet if ur an engr...
see right noww just check whetehr u rin acceptable decency levels in aimcat ranks..
probably 1000-2000 or even low that 2500..shud not dishearten u...
these ranks mean that even in ur wost scenario u wil get this rank...
but trust me..even if u get ranks below 1000 or 500 atleast 4-5 times in 18 mock cats..put ur money on every exam..
strange things happen on exam days..
most students leave every other insty for iim's..leaving all the seats for others...
i rmemebr ppl leaving nitie and other reputes for iim-i and k...
i donot mean iin-i and k are something different..
it is just iim brand that drives every one..
other strange things ppl though get admit into top b-schhols donot go for getting and iim seat the next year....
so chill and concentrate on ur mock cats...
soplve the whole pape again in ur room with the sloution paper aside and check ur methods...
u will develop more effectively..

i know the tortures so iam now eager to get ppl out of it now...
life is agreat nightmare wen ur mocks go bad and cat nears..

Hey vahgar ... just dont give up ... apply to all those institutes where you want to .. and then work for it ... It is costly though, but then i guess if you are giving the CAT seriously, you should back yourself.

ALso, atleats MDI SPJAIn TAPMi .. all have their deadlines just before or just after the CAT ... so its tough to then go running for applications ... Last time most institutes did extend their dates since the CAT was postponed ..

What ever you do .. you shoud apply to institutes first .. You might just surprise yourself with your CAT score ....
