Hi ppl
I am writing Mock Cats at TIME.
What is the ideal rank in AIMCATs that one should maintain in order to get final selection from one of the TOP B-Schools?
I just wanted to know whether i am heading in the right direction now or not.
My ranks in the AIMCATs so far have been as follows:
AIMCAT 1 AIR 227 Cleared cut offs in verbal and di/ds
AIMCAT 2 AIR 557 cleared cutoffs in all 3 sections
AIMCAT 3 AIR 327 failed to clear cutoffs in Quant.
AIMCAT 4 AIR 1561(tried a new strategy in this mock and it did not pay off)Failed to clear cutoffs in Quant.

hey raghoo. i think the ranks are a tad over rated. eventually d-day is ALL that counts. so yeah, ranks are a good way of finding out where you stand and what you need to improve on but by NO means exhaustive.

think the only rank to strive for is 1. i mean, you can't say getting 50 or 230 or 1130 will GUARANTEE you a place at iim

also, ppl have been telling me for ages that NOW is the time to screw up, try new stratergies etc.

Time is there..But this training is very irritating for me. Just able to squeeze in cat.
Infy training is hectic.
Will it get tougher??? just finished generic..

these ranks mean that even in ur wost scenario u wil get this rank...
but trust me..even if u get ranks below 1000 or 500 atleast 4-5 times in 18 mock cats..put ur money on every exam..
strange things happen on exam days..
most students leave every other insty for iim's..leaving all the seats for others...
i rmemebr ppl leaving nitie and other reputes for iim-i and k...
i donot mean iin-i and k are something different..
it is just iim brand that drives every one..
other strange things ppl though get admit into top b-schhols donot go for getting and iim seat the next year....
so chill and concentrate on ur mock cats...
soplve the whole pape again in ur room with the sloution paper aside and check ur methods...
u will develop more effectively..
