Hey Puys !

lemme begin by saying or rather answering, why this thread ? simply coz there aint any specific thread meant just for the verbal part and m sure there are quite a few of u out there who aint that great with numbers or are absolute dud's when it comes to numbers.

So this thread is strictly for those of us who are banking upon the verbal part and not exactly lukin to clear the sectional cut-offs & are jus luking at the Bigger picture the "Overall score".

So Puys pour in ur thots and suggestions where we can go with these and lets bring to table sum worthwhile stuff,so as not to bury our heads in disgust when outta of the exam hall (praly shud call it a Computer lab now).

Guys be informed (surely most of u do know it) that just by attempting the verbal part u can secure above 90%ile (on a more upbeat mode u can actually score 99%ile jus by the angreji part)

I'm in a similar situation to you, I'm barely able to score 50-70 percentile in QA however VA and DI have been saving my ass on almost every occasion.

Hopefully I can build on this on the C-day.

there is a whole section at PG dedicated to english resources

majority of the CAT takers are good in one section or atmost two sections. for the remaining they have to sweat it out.

so if you bank upon VA, dont think u are an odd one out. coz, there are thousand others who struggle with all the sections

However, if u dont care about sectionals (as u've said), i can say u are going to miss out on many colleges.

Certainly makes me feel a lil beta that there are THOUSANDS like me who wud be counting on just one of the sections.

@Pixeldawn : m8 unfortunately for me we both aint sailing in the same boat,as i've said b4 m a absolute dud with numericals & 50-70%ile aint bad at all in QA & DI (measuring as per my yardstick).

Hey puys I've also read sumwhere that DI & logical reasoning part can be worked upon in just a month , ur thots on this.

Boss you are rite when you say that there's a special dedicated section meant just for the verbal part,however m sure u've heard this b4 that to search sumthin on PG is really a donkeys workload.

fellows who think so are the ones who come here for quickfix solutions & who dont want to get associated with the forum.

people never prepare for CAT, at the eleventh hour they come to PG with expectation that it will help them manouvre, more often than not these are the ppl who dont care for sectionals too

this is not like any other cat preparation websites ... its the country's biggest net forum.

hey jatt.... in the coming days you have to keep the momentum of VA going.
...mohit is right, if you find quants difficult....in the coming days u can devote one or two hour daily to DI. if you can solve at least one or two DI sets correctly on the D-Day. then you can see a steep rise in your percentiles.

awww....Did u say just 20 days,seems like sum1 jus injected a banned steroid in me......even more heartening is wat winner said jus couple of hours a day(jus wat the doctor ordered for me m.

@Winner : i dont mind being a donkey here -----if this is wat it takes to be a winner or as mohit wud put it, turnaround my fortunes (atleast in CAT) .

Folks do suggest me sum gud material ,m currently lukin into IMS' s DI & VA material.
Yeaaaa i knw winner wud say luk around do the donkeys work and be a winner

Instead of wasting time here, go & learn, how to maximize your scores in other 2 sections as well...
