Pattern of 1003

Section-------Question Nos--No. of questions--Marks per question--Negative marks

DI & LR -----------1-24 --------24--------------------- 4 -----------1

Verbal Ability----- 25-48------- 24--------------------- 4------------ 1

Quantitative Ability- 49-72----- 24--------------------- 4------------ 1


Mode and Format

The total test duration is 135 Minutes. There are NO sectional time limits.

The student can navigate to ANY question of his/her choice.

The student can view only ONE question at a time.

There are NO negative marks for unattempted questions.


Note: The question paper will be available to the student for review and print
on the Student Home Page from 02.11.09.

72 questions with 24 questions in each section...4 marks for a correct answer & -1 for a wrong one..

Mistake No 1: Giving the exam as early as 6.45 AM..

Mistake No 2: Spending more time on my stronger section & spending less time on the weaker one..

Scores:

QA- 18 A - 11C -7W - 37/96 - 45 Mins

VA - 21 A-10 C - 11 W - 29/96 (to miss the cutoff again)-40 Mins

DI - 18 A - 16C - 2 W - 62/96 - 50 Mins

OA - 57 A - 37C - 20 W - 128/288 :(..could have done better...need to see, what went wrong , has been going wrong in VA..

Test Summary

For the sake of an unkept promise ...

Screwed the paper completely...after the paper realized the marking scheme was +4/-1 and attempted it like as if it was +3/-1

I must say paper was very easy and a score of 120 was gettable..though my score says something else...DI for a change was easy..it was just picking the right questions.

OA- 86

Expecting a percentile of 91-92 %

Hey puys i forgot to book my 1003 slot which is now closed as the test window has started........
is there any way out???? i have heard they give the access code on the last day for any such problem ......anyone having information in this regard..plz reply soon... regards...

Took it today.. It was horrible.

Quant 2 (Tough tha.... )
DI 30 (It was WAY tooooo easy)
VA 5 ( dont know what happened??? )

Total 37


Again 40 something percentile.. Uff!!

Took the test at the 5 pm slot today
Screwed it up totally ... .. 04 seems a mere flash in the pan
Unable to fathom my run of poor scores..
My scores - Pathetic
VA - 37 ( 11R, 7W )
DI - 22 ( 7R, 6W )
QA - 25 ( 7R, 3W )
OA - 84

Well, found QA and VA tricky but thot DI was easy at first glance but then my accuracy and my inability to crack the sets quick enough cost me dear here .. My consistency sucks ... I used to have a near 90-100% accuracy in QA and DI but thats letting me down badly now
Overall the test seemed to be relatively easier than the previous mocks ( it is a different matter that i screwed it ) .. A score of 120-130 seems par for the course...
Any suggestions on how to arrest this slump in my fortunes?

QA-33 (12a,9c,3w)
DI-52 (18a,14c,4w)
VA--25 (15a,8c,7w)

OA--110 (45a,31c,14w)

Some improvement in Verbal. DI was the easiest while quants involved selection of the right questions.

CAT 2006--90.56%-ile
CAT 2007--96.22%-ile;rejected by S P Jain
CAt 2008--98.19%-ile;rejected by S P Jain,waitlisted at 691 by MDI for PGPM
Next target-Season 2009(there's nothing to lose)
