Every question was of 7 marks...you had derive that first..
1st section had 3 areas with 8questions each
Thus 91/7 = 13 questions in all were answered correct by that guy out of 24..

From what i understood thr was a catch...
each section has three different parts.... just like section 2 had 3 parts DS, DI and AR and each part had 8 questions.... so if this assumption is true then each section had 24 questions ...

I wasted 30+ minutes in that SCHOOL set.....
Did anyone do that?
The number of people from schools were 10 , 6 , 7 , 5 , 8??
and singing : 12 ?
Just could not get the final table correct!!!!
Someone who have done this,please tell whether that above values are right or wrong.....

Actually the question stated tht there r 8 questions in each area...section 1 was havng 3 areas(or 2 areas...dont remem..) so he can get 13 correct in sec 1.

Not each section had 24...
I and II had 24 each ( 8*3)
and III had 32 (8*4 )

the values 10,8,6,7 ,5 are correct..this is total of 36..it was said tht i section is havng half ppl thn rest of othr sections....ie 4.5 x = 36...x=8..therefore the no is 8 for all but one(dunno remem which) and 4 fr one section...by othr conditions given we can get students in every section.

1 section is having half ppl thn rest of othr sections
I did this : x = (36-x) /2 which gives x= 12
Did that mean half of each of the other sections ????

Hi,
The same mistake that I made initially.
It was written that the no. of members in Singing was half than the no. of members in each of the other competitions. And that's why the no. of members will be actually 4 in Singing and 8 in each of the others.
Lost 10minutes due to misunderstanding of the info....
