hii can anybody pls throw light on what weightage is given to cat score, gd-pi and previous acads in the final selection...!! i dint find any info regarding this even in the mandatory disclosure...!

Initial shortlist is based purely on CAT scores. For PGPM the cut off was 97.5%-ile last year while for PGIM,it was 97.90,with 85%-ile sectionals (or is it 80%-ile? someone please clarify this). CAT score is given 2/3 weightage and GD-PI,the rest. Acads matter little in final selection but if they ask you to justify your low scores and you have a valid reason,there's nothing like it.

since last 3 years, sectional cut offs at MDI have been 80%yl for each section....

Can someone please confirm that the Status mentioned in the Online Application Receipt is "Filled Application, Payment Pending" even when the DD details have been provided?

BTW, the list of Bank of Baroda branches has now been put up on their website.

how is the grading / exam system in MDI ?..........Do they give frequent arrears / failures like in IIMs, IITs ( from my personal experience) for no good reason ?...................

Guys,

The grading system is fair to all - but if you do badly, you will be given a low grade. But it is really difficult to get a fail grade, be it at the IIMs or at MDI. The grading system here has been fair to those who put in efforts, while hard on those who didnt - But Ds and Fs are handed out very rarely, although different professors have different opinions on how to go about things. Rest assured, if you even put in a minimum level of study, you'll never face a fail grade.

And how come you have personal experience of MBA grades at the IITs/IIMs and still find yourself on this forum?

I am an IIM / some good MBA aspirant from some IIT.....

i have experience in engineering grades & heard stories of rather unfair / arbitrary IIM grades from my seniors......

Query regarding form filling:

Do we need to send photocopy of cat admit card too along with DD etc??
