I asked a frnd of mine, currently in MDI(PGPM).. He said:
"PGPIM course has a very distinct and excellent pedagogy compared to PGPM because the format is so good and the subjects taught are also more global in nature, plus a foreign language, i think french is taught in term zero itself. Another advantage is you have equal no. of indian and foreign students in the course so you end up working in teams of say 6 having 3 indians and 3 foreigners, so you get to know their style of working and learn a lot of things from them about how foreigners approach cases and presentations differently and how their thinking is different from ours.

PGPIM students have a 6 month internship when they are in Europe with an european firm and hence, it is a unique opportunity to do a mgmt internship at a foreign office, which is more than equivalent to a foreign summer internship. As far as placements are concerned, people generally get placed abroad itself, but many people opt to come back to india too and hence these people sit for placements with us, and there are companies which specifically ask for pgpim students....."

Has, anybody bought a form from a BOB branch?? I saw a post mentioning the last year's branches.
And we have to buy a single form costing 1600 bucks for all the 3 programes, is this thing concretely confirmed?

Are there no seniors out here from some Admissions committee of MDI to help out with the queries?

plz help....
i have just managed 53% in my first 2 years of graduation. and i have a backlog in my 2nd year exams. now if i add the back paper marks my agg %age goes down to 49.6%... m i eligible to apply for mdi..?? cat does not take the backlog paper marks into account... is it diff 4 mdi..??
nd if u kno about other institutes plz lemme kno....
realy desperate... thanks in advance!!

I think you should go with whatever percentage you've mentioned in the CAT application, but it's better to call up the Admissions office and ask 'em..

Hey all...jus curious..why hasnt MDI put up the Placement details for the batch of 2009 yet on their website?..jus wanted to have a glance at the figures n da list of firms dat came for recruitment...unable to locate..if any1 has a link, would they kindly put it up here..

The information brochure carries info about placements 2009..u can check that..
