I have a very dearth knowledge regarding the courses being offered by the college especially the other 2 and i am in a dilemma whether to fill them or not, since i am a science student.i want to pursue my mba in finance or something related to it,,should i fill up these ?? Will i be at a disadvantage at the GD/PI or in the future?? will the gd/pi be finance centric ?
Also i wish to ask whether there are separate GD/PI calls for the 3 courses mentioned or there will be just 1 gd/pi and courses be alloted meritwise based on it.
Is there any other centre other than Chennai where GD/PI are held
Thanks in advance

As for your profile goes it is really good for IFMR.
For the FE and DSF courses you can have a look at the IFMR website. If you ask me these two are very fine courses which requires a few extra skills.
FE is a core finance subject requiring a lots of mathematical skills while DSF requires your inclination towards development sector.
Now it depends upon you whether you want to enter in these two specialized fields or in normal MBA.
For regular and DSF programs you will face a GD and PI while for FE there will be a maths test and a PI. You will be allotted the course based on what they feel of your suitability for the course during the PI process..
And the interview was held in Chennai itself last year and the reasoning given by the college for this was they want people to have a look at the campus and ambiance and meet its current students before deciding to come here..
Hope this helps..
Good Luck
