i want to know how much weighted IFMR give ppl who hav WE in der family business. i have 25 months experince in my business with my elder brother .should i mention dis experience in application form ?????
also is my experience is equivalent to 25 months xprince of IT or any other field xprince ??

now b.tech-65%(till 6th sem)...

The thing is that the college never discloses the exact weightage they give to work ex whether be it in a professional firm or family business. I guess its completely on the descretion of the interviewer.
do mention your work-ex in the application form.. then you will be asked relevant questions on your work. and if they will be satisfied that you have actually worked then you are sure to earn points.

But there's a point of contention in you 12th marks. last year there was a cap on the application criteria that you have to have 60% throughout. so before filling up the form... look for the eligibility criteria this year...
if you want we can confirm this from the management but currently we are having our trimester break so the college is closed till 4th. so you will have to wait.

There's a minimum eligibility of 60% in 10th/12th/grad. So be clear about it before you apply:

Hi.Thanks a lot for starting this thread.i have a query.
a few days back i registered myself with IFMR.there was no procedure of filling up of any form.they just wanted the email id and immediately i got a mail from them saying my registration was successful after that no response.am i supposed to wait for further instructions?i will taking both CAT and XAT by the way so i want that to be mentioned in the form.

Hi..
PGDM Financial engineering is a very specialized course requiring a good deal of mathematical acumen. the eligibility criteria is that you should be having engineering background or should have you graduation in either Statistics or Mathematics.
as for its placements.. the first batch is still to pass out. earlier this course was being run as an executive program of one year. It held very good reputation and is considered as the only course in india of this nature..

sir i wanted to ask whether we could apply to all the courses by just buying a single form or is it has to b done separately for each course?? i'm not sure whether to apply through CAT or XAT,,is the no of seats to be filled by either of these fixed or not ??

Hey..
first things first..
no one is "sir" here..
and you could apply to all the courses by purchasing a single form. you need not buy separate ones.
and you can apply by both the exams.. again in the same form (but do confirm this info from the college office).
and the number of seats are not reserved for particular enterance exams. its purely merit based.. be it by cat or xat.
