MHRM means a masters degree in human resource management and is different from a general MBA...it is more sector-specific and is tailor-made for those who are focussed towards a career in HR...it is certainly not a baby course, and it is very much possible for an MHRM student to bag a better placement offer than any of his MBA counterparts...it all depends on your dedication and the kind of effort you put in...and one thing, never do have any doubts about the quality of the faculty at IISWBM, be it MBA,MHRM or any other course...but as i said before, MHRM is totally HR-oriented...so if you think you are made for HR, then MHRM is the course for you.

As i said before, the cut-off for a GD/PI call last year was 82 %ile overall with sectional cut-offs...after that, it all depends on how well you perform in the GD and interview process...with a decent GD and PI, it is possible for everybody to convert the call, no matter what your percentile is...well, just to give a more specific answer to your question, we have people with as high as 98 %ile in our batch, and people with 83-84 %ile are also there...so you see, everything ultimately boils down to your performance at the interview

yes, u have to apply separately for MBA & MHRM, so obviously u need to fill to separate forms and post it to the college address. If you want , address the Course name on top of the postal cover as 'Admission for MBA(Day) 2010-12 '- for MBA

3) i have downloaded the application. is the application common 4 both the programs?

yeah , the forms are common. u need to specify ur intended course in the first blank space provided for fillup

4)one more thing. in the application form, in option 10 . what i have 2 fill ? it says university registration number..

univ registration no mean ur bachelors/masters registraion no. u can get it from ur degree/pg mark-sheet whichever is applicable...

Sir..
i'm anshul from shimla and i wish to apply for the MBA(day) course in the college through CAT..but on their website nothing has been mentioned about the cost of the form or any details of the DD and where the form has to be sent...there's a form available for download but it asks at a point ur cat score/percentile,,so i wished to ask what the last date of recieving filled applications and at which address to send the application...
Also i wanted to know that whether GD/PI is held at venues other than kolkata itself,,,,
thanks in advance...

sry anshul for late reply. i was in bed for few days n cudnt felt like even checking threads..

*u can see diff modes of application and the cost of DD in the first page of the thread. the advt jpeg file has all the written details u require.
the website also has the application fee details . Just check the admissions tab in iiswbm.com

*see, the given space in the form is for CAT/MAT percentile- so just keep it blank as CAT score wont be out on Dec.

* for our batch GD/PI was held only in the campus @ Kolkata. venues for this year's GD/PI is not yet finalized. But this year there is a chance for each venues at North,South n West as our Director wants to cover all regions. He has made the application forms available at all part of the country. It was not the case earlier. So u can expect more venues apart from Kolkata this yr.
