I have a query about the GD/PI process.Could you tell me the probable time when GD/PI will be conducted? I heard some rumours that the GD process is a bit haphazard with 30+ students in a single session.
Are these rumours unfounded?

The GD/PI is usually conducted in the month of March from mid to the last.
IIFM has a very good GD/PI process, very well organized and executed.
the fact you have come across that there are 30 student in a session is true to the fact that there are so many students but each session is then subdivided into 3-4 groups . leaving 8-10 students in each group, i believe some other colleges have much larger, upto 15 as group strength in GD/PI.

Hello sir, It has been a month since I sent my application to IIFM and till now I have not got any confirmation/Information Brouchure from the institute. Please help.......I mailed them today but haven't got any reply as of now....

u can try contacting the authorities at the phone no provided on the website and else where... in most cases it takes time... so if the date is approaching... try contacting to be sure...

hi,
i am a fresher from a govt eng college and i have done my engg in CSE. i have got a job offer in tcs. i just wanted to know a fair deal that should i go for mba in iifm ( which excites me a lot) or should i take a work ex and then think about it?

go for mba now... is what i would say ... i was fresher from govt coll in cse and got an offer in TCS... i think i have talked to u... i suggest growth would be more here.. and tcs experience sucks..... as far as i am concerned... my frns are there and none gives positive reviews.... and think again.. TCS is lot diff from IIFM..... write the cat and fill the form... rest things will happen at own pace.. and u will be more sure.. anyways.. come for GD PI its a good experience.. and I dont think u ll get the joining till that date.. but if u do get... u urself will have to weigh it

can u tell me wats the Cat cutoff last yr for general category? does diverting my field from CS to forest management has any any effect on my career prospects? wats the average package lyk?

of course it has effects.... its a whole different world.. u get to be in managerial spots.... and anywyas i can bet at 90%ile arnd and 3 lakh fees.. u cant get any better experience... its 2nd best sectoral b school ..recently awarded best govt b school..
avg package is goin to be arnd 7-8 lkh... thats my expectations.. make it 1.5 less for a pessimistic average package..
placement week will begin on jan 2..
till today one company has come and one person has been placed at $50k... which is going to be 60k when he completes one year.. profile being area manager... and area is latin america belt.. thats what i heard... abhi placements mein kaafi time hai.. lot can happen.... be assured.. u have a gem of a coll here at bhopal... and mind u.. manit doesnt come any near in reputation......
