hlo people,
i am B.E. etrx(K.J.somaiya CoE), preparing to take CAT 2004.

just read all the posts tht spoke abt having finished basics by june and then attacking sectional tests then on..

well i have only started preparation and am worried abt being a little too late on tht.

shud be able to finish basics by july 15th.

if there is anyone facing a similar predicament.. pl help!

if there is anyone interested in helping us with their experience !!

i haven't started yet either... actually will be starting with quants only in aug 2nd week.. and guess by sept i'll be ready for the sectional tests and full tests...

the only thing u'll have to do differently is that u have to pack more prep into ur schedule.. so that by nov ur at par with most of the others..

so start prep soon and try finishing basics and brm.s by aug end. and then it's tests spree!

cant say its realy ok if someone hasnt startd yet..but its not too bad eithr ....

it all depends how much u put in n more importantly the quality From NOW ON ...,U may go on n on for hours everyday cramming everythin , n stil land up with hardly anythin satifactory.... on the other hand some ppl manage to crack CAT with jus a few hours daily for about 3-4 months...

Atleast the forum is right ... jus search for few inspirational n thorough articles at pg on how to crack cat.. trust me thr r so many n can help anyone ....


Its definately not too late guys.. can still click ... as for study material , jus pick any known n popular material (to save the time to choose from many more)... gather the basics n once done .... mock-cats ... one thing tht has helpd ppl the most i guess.... analyze thm but not too much eithr .. get the ATTITUDE right n ur prob. thru .....


p.s : phew .. if i knw this y havnt i crackd it yet?

i can understand what ur concern is....
most of the cat related threads in PG at this point would be talking about the sectional tests and other fundas like speed accuracy etc....

so u may find it tough to acclimatize urself into this environment...u may feel that u are way behind others.....but believe me with proper time management and schedule u can still make it....
it is still 4 months to go for cat...nearly 110 days.....and that is a very long period...
so with proper time management i feel that u can still make it...

do give ur sincere shot and then see what the outcome is

Hi mamta you were atleast lucky that the test was before your exams and was later postponed in feb well for us BE batch 2005 the sem VII exam is around 17th nov. Though i am still willin n preparing for CAT our Part A has finished In IMS and will be having the ACT that is test with OMR sheets to answer on from 14th aug. also it's an KJSCE student out here hope you know me Piyush Rastogi

hey memamta ... relax ... u haev about a 110 days left.

Its never How much you do .. but how you do .

Follow a schedule .. and stick to it ..

there might be people starting to give sims as early as AUG .. or as late as OCT end .. but dont be too bothered.

Make a time table and follow it !!! Don't care MUCH about what others are doing !!!
