Someone a long time ago said - The one who laughs last, doesn't get the joke.
I know we are the last to kick off, but let us see whether anybody dares to laugh at us after we are done with what we want to do, a few months from now

For most of you, who wonder what the 'team' word is all about - lest it remind you of any 'bad' team experiences at work - IT'S ALL ABOUT YOUR PEERS. Most MBA grads mention their batch mates as their biggest asset when in a b-school. I say, if you are so into an MBA why not start off earlier, here?

Who would want to be part of this team?
Anyone who :

• is writing CAT this year
• is from, in and around Pune
• is willing to learn and listen
• likes fellow travelers
• has the motivation, gusto and patience to gut 'CAT's - be it the mock or the real beast.
• is willing to spend on my coffee in study meets
• is willing to listen to my rants and incessant chatter
• realizes I am not serious all the time

Most of you might have made a lot of friends and have had a lot of fun until now. Now it is the time to make a lot of friends but sweat it out together. One of the worst jail tortures known to man is the solitary confinement. And you will know why if you try writing CAT seriously and all alone. CAT by itself is a serious affair, but why not learn along the way and be a part of a team which understands every agony of a silly mistake, every joy of a right answer, every satisfaction of a well-understood concept and every peal of laughter of a poor joke. Enough said!

Here's where I will disappoint, by posting details pasted from elsewhere (The PG Regional Dream Team 2009 Discussions Thread)
The names of the teams is something which is open. Team members can suggest names after forming their teams. Keep them exciting, enthusiastic and positive.

Q.1. How the teams will be constituted ?
Ans . Every team will have 11 + 2 players, 1 coach and 1 manager. There is no limit to number of supporters though.
Every team needs to have minimum of 6 members from the same city. e.g. Pune Dream team must have 6 members from Pune. Other 7 members should be preferably from nearby locations.

Q.2. Ok, so what is the first step ?
Ans. Once the team threads are opened up kindly make your nominations.

Q.3. How should the nomination look like?
Ans. Feel free to write the way you want. But if need be, use the format below:

Previous CAT attempts (if any)

Your Nominations (other puys you would want to see in this team)


Pune has had many stalwarts before - harshadk , ganeshiima, deep agarwal, nikhilkulk.
While each is a gem in his own, I am sure all of them would have wanted to be a part of this team had this been there then.

Well here goes my nomination

well my journey started two years back.I had finished my final year,had got the job was waiting for the joining details. That seememed to get longer each day,so thought of giving CAT, didnt have any idea, gave 2/3 CL mocks and came to know about PG.
Started tracking PG-DT07, this was the Basilik,JLT,kamalchhabra era..

Was just amamzed how these ppl mauled mocks after mocks,this was the time when the CAT fever was getting to my head,got books and all and started preparing.
After 2 months ,my joining date came and I had to leave to mysore, there we had the toughtest schedule, working like dogs to save our jobs,in the meantime had filled the CAT form. Came 19th Nov and I half remembred what I had learnt , gave the test and was lost somewhere else during the paper, hands were just not moving
(slogging day and night on online assigments). Results came-nothing great.Two of my batchmates made to IIMC.

Thought of preparing much more seriously for the next season.Was posted to bangalore, that year AIPGM was help in bangalore, there I came in touch with some of the most talented guys amru666guys ,made_for_iims,rajat_nda,prem_ravi,profootball(got a lot of gyan from him).Had a rocking time there.

Started tracking DT08 and UDT08. UDT08 Rocked,used to read the transcripts that kaptaan saab(kapur.arun) used to post. Some of my batchmates were in UDt08.Used to follow that thread religiously,also had taken less workload at office,so that I could get time to prepare. Was putting in a lot of effort,was getting good scores in AIMCATs(93-96), but then something bad struck, just 3 weeks before CAT,I picked some old question that I had done and could not remember most of them.
The reason-didnt revise things. It got my nerve and was low on confidence when I went to write CAT. Add it to the fact that pattern changed, VA 40 ques, DI tough.Result-A Meagre 92.

Few of my frnds made it to C again.(was surprized when I came to know).
This time-Have overcome most of the hurdles, there are still a few areas to be worked upon, so working hard at them.One thing I have realized-simplicity is the best thing in CAT. The simpler the things the better they are.(This is opposed to our exam taking mentality)More than anything else, its the craze be among the best.This time working with sense and simplicity for CAT09.

Why I want to be a part of Pune DT09?
I have relized that learning doubles when you are working in a team. The team spirit takes you forward, the lows and highs, after all its about making it to our dream destinations, the journey becomes much more enjoyable if we move together.Come lets make it happen!!

I am working since past 1 year in a s/w company and I am also one the few cat aspirant,that want their entanglement with the IIMs ,I will try my level best to crack the CAT this year though I am performing very poor in AIMCATs but I just need a spark that can set my ass on fire.

Bhai i post regularly on UDT 08 n sometimes on Pune thread as well ....

yaar life is bit busy here, aur kuch achchi aadte (study regularly, complete assgn before time etc) lagne me der lagti hain.....

im very happy to see so much enthu in Pune junta this year.... you people r rocking , keep it up......
