I am no god, but I will give my opinion..
First, continue to back yourself as u have all these days..don't let a few bad mocks dent ur confidence..As you have not had problems with VA before this hiccup, just go back and see wat worked then which is not working now..
And finally, 50% accuracy is not bad, tho it isn't good enough..get it past 60% and u will see the percentiles start to look up..
It probably is just a temporary low..be happy it's happening just b4 cat and not on cat day

Why do u call it desperation? As they say, u first have to create choices to have a choice

Hi ppl,

I have a question abt xlri admission. But knew it would make sense to post here rather than the xat thread.

For Xlri, we ned to send the graduation certifacte/marksheets. does this mean we need to send both? I've completed my graduation. But our Anna university graduation certificate does not have the details about the marks. And sending all the 8 sem marksheets in the envelope given by the institute is out of question.

There would be many of u who have applied already. Throw some light on what you ppl did.

TIA,
Bala.C.N

Happy prep

Arey Yaar My case is different. i think you are much younger and ready to take on world.so you can take risks by applying to ivy league b-schools.
My time has come to enjoy the "sansarik sukh"(worldly pleasures)(as posted on PG DT Group by vipul/bmr).I cant keep appearing for CAT every year otherwise when I'll have kids somebody will write on his hand "Mera baap CAT REPEATER hai"(I'm not going to translate this figure it out on your own)

Point taken bhai ..... its just that when i see the number of institutes i am applying to, it reminds me of 5 yrs ago when i did the same for engineering colleges . I am sure everyone will agree that it was not a pleasant experience....

But I was speaking with tortured yesterday .... and did some minimal math ::

less student + more new seats = lower percentile cutoffs

(it works try it out, the percentile cutoffs for IIMs will be definitely lower this time)

This is the only bit of math that gives me hope and drives me on to CAT

i dont feel that there ll be that remarkable a change in the cutoffs. the number of students giving cat will still be greater than 2 lakh.. the cut offs ll go down by jst a percentile or two(might help border cases like me)
