ONE DAY AT THE SHOUTBOX

An average mock taker says to his frnd - "yaar have u checked the AIMCAT threads, guys score like crazy there, I dont even have the guts to post my score there! Wonder I will ever make it to my dream college or not!!! M just a 80%iler! There are teams who take 98+ consistent scorers and make champion out of em! I just wish we had a team of some 80+ ilers who are passionate to make it to an IIM despite those low scores!!

Some ideas take years to be born but when it comes to pagalpanti sometimes even seconds are enough!!

Well if u can relate to the above conversation then to tell u - Fellow puys just heard from u and bring to you a team comprising fellow SBians , the OVER-UNDER-ESTIMATED SBians

The SHout BoXeRs Team!

1. This team will comprise of 15 to 20 members.

2. These 15-20 members will be under tutelage of senior SB members who have been CAT Veterans and these members will be taught all the concepts they desire to learn from the scratch.We will also be having guest lectures from OMPA members , SB Alumni's , Senior SBians et al

3. Selection will be on the basis of weighted mean of three factors:-
(i) Mock Scores (25%)
(ii) Regularity on Shout Box (50%)
(iii) CV for CV (Curriculum Vitae for CAT Veracity) -----> In Short - A small write up on how Passionate you are to crack CAT and get into IIM's

4. A panel of 9 competent judges will evaluate ur nomination and select the team members accordingly.

5. Evaluation on every parameter will be done on a scale of 1 to 5.

6. Panel of Judges for evaluation of Mock Scores - the_hate , shashank3012 , marijuana_user

7. Panel of Judges for evaluation on regularity shown on SB - puri.pallavi , SUPER XERO , utsav_1986

8. Panel of Judges for evaluating CV - the_hate, marijuana_user , utsav_1986

Mere ko details dalne ke liye bola gaya so apne aap ko ek aur baar nominate karta hoon.
Me a very average guy but with a determination to crack the CAT and enter some top B-schools in the country.Did my engg from a mediocre college in orissa.I have a great passion for bussiness and managment
In fact i want to become an enterprenuer.
My CAT story so far.
Gave CAT last year only for masti and have two days off from padhai and to go to bbsr(as our college is in a remote area surrounded by naxals)

Why I couldn’t do well in the last year cat? may be the pressure from all corners .

But now, the story is different..realized ma mistakes and blunders i did in last one year... yeah..I think I have broken the jinx. I have gained the push{acceleration} to crack anything. Thanks to last year’s cat failure..i learnt a lot from it..

MY CV

I always felt dat i wasnt able to achieve what i deserved till nw. During my school days i never felt any need to study hard or i didnt had any goal dat cud have motivated me to work hard

During engg entrances my dream to be at IIT and pursue computer engineering also was shattered due to lack of experience on how to prepare for such entrances (thanks to no internet and tuitions). Ofcourse later on i met some people who had already achieved their dreams and they told me the relevance of mocks in preparation. Now at dat time only JMI entrance was left so i worked hard n was able to achieve a seat there but at civil engineering. anyhow i was always a programmer at heart and used to participate in competitions at IIT, jmi and other colleges and had won many. Even at first year i was able to prove a Prof wrong by showing him a working programm on exe trojans
I was never interested in Civil Engineering but i always felt dat i was always good at managing things successfully. I am a quake n CS gamer too and being the commander of d team i had always led my team to success anyhow at any cost at LAN gaming competitions so i guess a little nurturing in a good bschool will be enuff to achieve d best in me. I am highly motivated to crack CAT 2009 and had worked very hard till now so i want u guys to consider me in ur team.

Hi Fellows,

Not Sure if my nomination is worth what SuX has mentioned, but yes I do keep peeping in and out SB whenever I log into PG, mostly stalking over it! Though, last couple of months were very hectic for me and also had very limited access of PG. As been asked for Passion to kill the bill, I am having enough of courage to do that and I have a virtual veteran-ship in this case. However, I am still to begin with Mocks in this season, but yes had a taste of CAT'07 (Scored 86%ile) and was taking Mocks (CL) for CAT'08. The Mock Scores kept varying from 68 to 99 %ile OA. But somehow, I couldn't appear for CAT'08.

A Short plan till Sept 15th: Quick Tests, Sectional Tests and 3-4 Full Online Mocks followed up with a Complete Analysis and Prep Suite for remaining 2.5 months. Got too less time to nominate myself, that's what the work-life demands now. Planning to fight on Dec 06th.

I'm a 2008 pass out with engineering back ground.i got a job in a software company and i thought after having a 2-3 work-ex,i would give cat.but due to recession the company has shut.i dont have any option other than doing mba.so i opted for cat and i'm very confident that i will crack it this year and will get in to one of the very good b-schools.The primary reason for which i want to be in the shout boxers team is that i can get tips from the cat veterans and personal attention.i think i badly need that.
