Section (DI+DS+Reasoning) was a real disappointment, though VA was quite poor too.

I have doubts abt the solutions given for questions 117 to 120(the rangeelaland, lalpila,haralal,pilhara Qs). i can't make head or tail of the solutions.to me the answers should have been 4,4,1,2 rspectively.Could someone confirm.

Got really screwed up in today’s AIMCAT…..

Some things that I observed for which I am not able to find a solution and am not able to overcome are:

1. Nervousness and inability to hold my concentration for long….which resulted in :
a. Unnecessary wastage of time on simple sitters.
b. Spotting of sitters itself
c. Getting easy questions wrong b’coz of hastiness.

2. Even though I feel confident in Quant but am not able to convert it to good scores….also my accuracy rate in quant is well below the normal levels..

Desperately searching for solutions to above difficulties…..nybdy facing similar problems can come forward to sort them out…and rest others r also requested for their advices…

My scores are:

Total:70/54/16/48.66

Total Attempt: 42.4 %
Strike Rate: 77.1%

My AIMCAT 501 score was 47.67….so an improvement of just 1 mark..huh

this is regarding ur confusion about Qs 117-120.even i have some confusion about first 2 but coming to 118 it's very simple.
it's given that whatever jai says is wrong and veeru says is right.so veeru said jai is a lalpila and that's the truth .so
1. jai is a lalpila
whatever jai says is wrong , so he said "basanti's saree is yellow" is wrong.jai mistakes red as yellow and yellow as red.so the saree is either yellow or green and it can't be red,because if it is red then it would appear as yellow to jai and what he said will be true.
veeru is either a lalpila or pilhara as jai said he is a haralal.as veeru said the saree is yellow, it appeared as yellow to him which is in fact of diff color.the saree can't be red as it will be a contradiction.so it is green which is mistook as yellow,so
2.veeru is apilhara
