Music gala at Chennai IMS center:

I might be digressing from the topic a bit but I want to highlight the fact that the IMS management goofed up big time in Chennai today. I am based out of Chennai (enrolled IMS student) and went to the Loyola college to give my SIMCAT. On entering the college I realized there was a music gala going on with hit Tamil numbers being played and hoped that they would end before the start of SIMCAT but to my surprise the volume levels only went up from. I am very disappointed by the fact that while IMS claims of providing the best examination environment but they failed to address the basic need of an exam.

DI = 28 (generally my fav section.....messed up 1 complete caselet coz of a small small error....i generally dont make such mistakes....good ...this simcat made aware of wat am capable of......20 marks went down the drain )
VA/RC (the section i fear the most) : 81

This mock was completely upside down for me......need to be consistent in quant n di

my take on cutoffs-
QA= 25-28
DI= 36-40
VA= 55-60

am happy wid the quailty of this SIMCAT......wat do u puys think?

haha..ya..i was thr too..very nice atmosphere for a mock it was a big distraction for us..ims could ve chosen some other centre

IMS guys provided the keys...did u leave the examination hall before collecting that

btw my score :

Quant -> -8 (yeah,thats negative..and my strongest area too..)
VA -> 51
DI -> 9

Quant 17(6C, 7W) Accuracy Gone for a Toss!
DI 30(9C, 6W)
VA/RC 79(21C,5W) Happy with the Scores there
OA 126(36C, 18W)

I felt the Quant section was on a higher side of difficulty and a bit of reasoning was involved along with quant skills. Verbal was on the easier side and could have scored more in DI with proper selection of questions. Overall it was a decent performance i felt but need to tune my quant skills.

since i have yet to start with my studies, i am quite satisfied with th scres, except for va in which many of u are 70+, seems it was d easiest va of all times..

my call on cutoffs:

DI : 33-38
VA : 65-70
OA : 135
