reading the news papers ,f course, would enhance u'r RC skills. read
P G WODEHOUSE. u find some cool language.
in 4 months u can easily collect 1500 new words from these papers and books.. make sure u also write down how the word has been used, as it is useless w/o usage.
as vipin said, NCERT books for class XI and XII are sufficient for concept building. and then u can practise from the IMS/TIME/etc materials.
i feel spending disproportionately large amount of time and effort after PandC may not be very wise thing to do. if one finds that after going thru class XI and XII level course material and practising the coaching materials, one is still not comfortable or proficient enuf then may be one should move on to other topics. some people (including me) just dont get a hang of the topic.
but then these are my personal views...

Agreed !!! I Wanted to say that P&C is like a blown out of proportion myth, Its almost non-existent in CAT..................Would recommend to concentrate on Number Theory and Equations because they form the highest chunk of the Quant section.......P&C can at most have two questions.....no way more than that, and hence can be left alone to fry other fish in the section.......Cmon CAT may not have a prescribed syllabus....but since it is open to all streams.... they wouldnt go beyond the Maths stuff of Class X which was common to everybody.......because otherwise it wouldnt be fair.....and I daresay IIMs would be biased in favour of Engineers..... and since Maths till X never mentions P & C so it has a low " probability " of appearance....

for grammar try out raymond murphy.. it is really good.

Thanks for the tip..................Would have to get up early ( after watching Germany and Czech Republic match and sleeping at 2 am)......and catch the newspaper waala Bhaiyya and ask for HINDU..............Things I do for CAT !!!!!!
Well would scout the Nai Sarak in Delhi, for a second hand version of Raymond Murphy.....
Thanks again
