well I think people with work-x > 3-4 yrs generally lose interest in studying....so only a few go for CAT and a very few in them get to GD/PI..and then a very very few make it into I.I.M. I think that's why there are fewer number of students..not that I.I.M./s do not consider students with work-X >3-4yrs....
more over, I.I./M.s prefer work - x guys because, it will be very much easy for them to place these students.....for more read the 'Main Story' on the home page of pagal guy/

While going through the Batch Profiles of IIM students, i observed that the proportion of students with work ex of more than 3-4 years is quite low.
Any specific reason for this? Does a higher work ex, in some way, affect your chances of getting into an IIM in a negatively?
Is it better then to wait for few more years and apply to the PGPX programs?
Thanks much,
Rohit.
