IIM's - Do I stand a chance? - 06-01-2003, 06:46 PM

Really cool site for CAT's ..
I have a query for you guys ..and am sorry if a similar sort of Q was addressed before
(I just checked this site today)
For this year's CAT
Attempts - 85 , Expected - 55 +(After checking with CF's answer's to this year's CAT)
Experience : 4+ yrs

Do I stand a chance ? I did reasonably well in SimCAT's(98 percentile+) but somehow messed it up on the D-Day.
You guys must have done pretty well and also would be in contact of similar other guys .
What do you reflect upon a score/profile like mine.
I haven't given any other exams.(just apllied for IIM's)

Thanks

Hi.
I should think that u have a pretty decent chance, at least at IIM-B. 55 + is a fairly good score if you have 4 yrs of wrkex. I don't know ur sectionwise breakups. So i am assuming u'll clear cutoffs for all 3 sections.

After CAT there was a lot of discussion as the 'right scores' etc. We all kind of decided that higher 50's and lower 60's would get you a couple of calls from the IIMs. However you have a solid work ex of 4 years. That's very close to what IIMB prefers. Plus 55 + is a very decent score. So I don't see you having much problem snagging the calls.

Let us all know how it goes.

Regards,
