Just a cool tip i learned from a TIME chat session:

Use your mouse with one hand and the pen with the other. This means that if you are right handed, start practicing to use the mouse with the left hand.

Hope it helps.

the increasing score should really motivate you.
it may also depend upon the paper - maybe the difficulty of the paper is increasing at a faster rate than your %ile - weird thought though!!

Hi Avi. For basics of quant, you can refer to the material of any coaching instt or Arun Sharma's book. And then practice from the mock papers.

To use this site more efficiently, browse the threads, and then decide which ones you want to follow. Solve a few questions from those threads daily. Contribute to the threads if you have something worthwhile to say.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Re: How to get started?(Esp-Quant) - 24-07-2009, 12:07 AM

Hi Puys..

I am preparing full-time for cat through correspondence (my geographical location does not permit me to join any classroom program). I have done basics from CL material and now need to practice more and more questions. As i am preparing full-time, CL material doesn't look sufficient as there are 4 months to go for cat. I am thinking of joining TIME correspondence course to get more practice material but 2 things bother me. Firstly, i will get the basics book again and going through them would be a waste. Secondly, TIME correspondence includes just 5 AIMCATS (out of the 20 tests offered in AIMCAT test series) and 30 online sections but i would like to practice more. I was also mooting the option of joining just the AIMCATs instead of taking TIME correspondence.

If someone is familiar with both CL and TIME material, please advise me what would be more suitable, Joining TIME Correspondence course or just the AIMCAT test series, given i am through with the basics and need more and more material for practice.
