I can get some idea from TIME....if there are people from Career Launcher, PT, etc...please ask number of such students for Classroom courses only....otherwise numbers would be double counted
I sent a mail to Career Launcher. I will let you know once I get response from Career Launcher.

Thanks

IIM-Bangalore awaiting ministry nod for OBC quota admission

"'For the next academic year (2009-10), we plan to offer 60 seats under the OBC quota, which will be 17 percent of the total intake of 350 seats,"

But actual OBC offer is 40
Had only two iim calls (b,s).....cud not make it to b.
just wanted to know some more about the obc resuts and seats. Are there any chances that the no of seats in obc may increase this year? what about any second list?

I heard that IIMC revised its result since it realised that there are less overlap of final converts among iims.so it reduced the buffer calls and put on hold.if that has to be taken into account,i dont think all the analysis based on last year holds gud.

I think IIMC gave 100 extra offer (408+100) thats why they have moved all these 100 extra offer into HOLD state. But in case of IIMB, there are only 26 (350+26) extra offer.

IIMB gave more than 50 (around 75) extra offer last time. But IIMB also reduced the extra offer this time. This is a good news for WL. Total number of (extra offer + WL) is 28+81= 109

Yes, it seems this time number overlap between ABC is less. So we can't directly use the analysis based on last year.

Last few year, (extra offer + WL movement) was 90 for 250/275 offer. So we can expact 90 to 100 (extra offer + WL movement) for 350 offer this time.

(http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/cat-an...d-iim-c-3.html (Waitlisters Tracking Thread for IIM-C PGDCM & PGDM (2009)))

Well this might help the waitlisted folk...

Last year's waitlist movement:

1. IIM-A - 0 buffer calls....waitlist moved till 45. Total no dropping out=45
2. IIM-B - about 50 buffer calls....waitlist moved till 47. Total no dropping out=97
3. IIM-C - Secretive abt no of buffer calls. But there are abt a 100 ppl in IIM-A who also had C converts, and guess atleast 25 odd in B had C also....waitlist of 20 cleared out.Total no dropping out=145+

Therefore the 100 ppl put on hold seems like a sure-shot conversion to me.
Hope for the best.

I have a query about the movement of the W/L. Will the clearance of the waitlist happen before may 1st or after? If it happens after may 1st will we be refunded the fee we pay to the other IIM as part of accepting their offer?

puys i have created a poll for OBC waitinglist tracking.I think if we could separate the categories it would be helpful to track the waitinglist movement.

Re: IIMB Waiting list for the 2009-2011 PGP Admissions - 13-04-2009, 03:51 PM

Is there anyway we can get a proxy idea of how many ppl have got IIM A as well as IIM B converts, which would then give us a rough approximation of some indicatory waitlist movement for IIM B. Is there any thread that has been started?
