Can anyone please tell us how many final calls have been given out?
And is there a separate waitlist for various categories?

I am waitlisted at #120 (general) ... Long wait for me.

I called up the admissions office.
Apparently they do not give out any details of how many people have been given admissions. He asked me to wait till May 1st to get to know the waitlist details.

People who accept the IIMI offer have to pay Rs. 70,000 before May 1st itself. However if they decide on not going even after that, they can get Rs.69,000 back. So, there could be a situation where people might back out just 2 days before admissions. Which happens to be on June 29.

Which means people who are borderline cases should be hopeful till then.

And as far as I know Waitlists are different for different categories.

Most of the waitlist movement happened last year one week before joining,
many ppl backed out their fees because of waitlist movement at other iims ...
