I would tell you to take a decision on ur interest first, then the college reputation, course structure, location and alumni network.

As far as this years placements are concerned the average salary is around 10.25 lakhs per annum.The official report will be out soon!!

So much for the Pros.

Only con that I can think of is that we have only engineers in our batch but then all top notch B-Schools have more than 90% engineers in their batch.
For instance IIM-B 2009-11 batch has approx 93% engineers.
IIM-A had 93% engineers last year...this year its 91%.

Hi... Just wanted to know if we can arrive at around 12 on 18th??? The letter mentions 9.30 am but the most convenient flight I have is at 10 am.. Can any of the seniors confirm???

i dont think that should be a problem...but its better if were on time cause there are a lot of activities on the first day...like allocation of rooms and the registration process thereafter...

Thanx chopsuey.... Is it possible for me to get accommodation on 17th itself???? An evening flight is also possible for me... But I would need accommodation on 17th night... Will NITIE be providing accomodation????

Hi Akhil,
Even i had personally submitted the DD. N i guess it was the same place... academic section, 4th floor... (took a right after climbing the long stairs). For me, the person there checked if i had written all the necessary details at the back of the DD. Hope u have written those... i dont see any problem otherwise.
I got the letter of acceptance of fees in 8-10 days.
As for the contact no. mebbe the seniors can help.

Hi chopsuey, I called up the admissions offece and enquired that if there would be any problem if I come late on 18th. Actually my train arrives at 8:30PM and now there are no reservations availabe (so that I could change and reschedule). According to them there would not be any problem from admisintrative side (which I believe includes allocation of rooms and document verification). Though he told me that I will miss the introductions which happen in the mornings.
Can you please clarify on this front. will it be ok to arrive at around 9:30PM in the campus or will I need to book a flight(it would cost atleast 10 times).

you would get a room no matter when you arrive...but if the administration says that they are ok with you coming late for the registration process then thats great..

you will have a welcome speech by the director in the afternoon sometime...but if you cant make it for that its ok...
