New Courses & AICTE - 15-03-2009, 04:17 PM

Dear puys,
I have started this thread to track the status of AICTE approval of most of the new courses that attracts students. To name a few
1) Spjain MIT Course.-->this was started and stopped and currently has a batch in final year but no intake beyond that...SO no clear picture. It also promise to give u a dual degree.
2) Spjain Dubai/Singapore/Toronto--> This is a one year course which makes you to pursure mba course 6 months in dubai and 6 months in singapore. Is this course recognised by AICTE.Plz dont get confused between aicte approval and the certificate awarded by the instt after the program. I know in each of the cases students gets diploma only.
3) MDI PGP-IM--Dual degree course started some 3-4 years back.Student go to eurpean univs for exchange and get dual degrees.
4) Great lakes chennai--> This college has gained reputation in real quick time.Though still hasnt reached the status of ISB but its very much on course.
I know there are many other colleges that u guys would be knowing which would either offer dual degrees or these shortened mba's( 1 year regular programs ). As far as i remember there was an article sometime before stating that AICTE does not allow a college to provide dual degree so mostly SPjain MIT course would have surely faced some tough times there.

Disclaimer: This thread is not to bring bad name to any instt or to irk the students. Its just like many of us would like to know that what would stand in frnt of us after completeing these courses. After all its our future and we need to be very clear bout it

Please share ur knowledge puys.

Cheers
sid
