No decision was taken while MMJ was in power. Now that he has lost, I dont think Arjun Singh gonna mess with the exams now.

No decision has been taken, and no decision is expected - unless and untill SC steps in the way thru PIL.

I was always a firm supporter of a single exam (albeit in a modified form like, say, GRE and GMAT) and I am really hope somebody files a PIL - the chances of which are bright.

Though the single exam format sounds good... i dont think there will be any change in the format...

more over there is a negative side for this single exam format....
just think a candidate falls sick on that particular day.....then his one year preparation will end up with no rewards...

at least with the present fomat thre is a scope for that candidate to suceed in other exams...

couger, you are right, there are many drawbacks of havein a SMET in the current format. for ex. probability of paper leakages will increase.

Hence it should not be adopted unless proper planning is there.

a single exam is ok as long as the format is similar to cat.cat is the best of all exams.
xat is the worst.pointless gk section, time division for each section.some people cheat ie go back to the quants section as gk takes little time.others who feel that it is not morally right to swap sections lose out on valuable time

even a fool will know that xat pattern is stupid.i just cant understand how xat organizers can be so preposterous.

Just because you don't like something and are weak in a sectin does not meant that it is bad. If there is a SMET it will most probably have a GK section.

Hi mohit...
the Xat pattern remains the same
but As far as my memory goes there is no fixed structure of the questions

xat 2003 had maths which was full of functions where as 2004 maths was very easy

so cannot predict anything in xat
