Dear Anurag,
Thanks a lot for bringing up facts about MNNit.I was desperately looking for some.I have got 3rd rank in MNNit mba programme for the batch 2009-2011.The only other calls i have managed to convert as of now is Kirloskar Harihar and Bimm Pune while I am waitlisted at BimTech.Still waiting for KJ Somaiya results and Welingar and ITM gd - pi's.Any suggestions where I should go?

Hi all seniors, I wanted to know why r there OBC candidates in the general meritlist n also general waitlist? Also what r the chances of waitlist general candidates? Last year till what waitlist number did general candidates got admission ? Reply ASAP .THANX.

First of all Very sorry for not replying guys...18th is Rukhsat here in MNNIT ..its the official farewell party of the outgoing batch so a bit bzy...Now I will post the entire analysis in a couple of dayz...

Now the analysis:
First of all congos to all who came to our Institute and participated in the selection process and most importantly got selected.

There are 45 Gen students selected with there is a long waiting list.I am sure waiting till 25 will be cleared for sure in the II list.

Now as far as the names of students in the Gen as well as OBC list is concerned , these students can take admission in category with the required certificate or can take admission as a Gen candidate if there name gets in the final Gen list after MAY 4.

Remember" A OBC candidate or a SC/ST can be considered a Gen but the reverse is never possible " this is the reason why you are seeing OBC candidates in the Gen list as they performed better than the rest Gen candidates..A gen list is prepared without any kinda discrimination...I hope this makes everything clear..

I guess the second List will be declared and announced May 06,. b coz the selected ones in the main merit list were sent an offer admission letter through mail,. And in that mail they mentioned that the waiting list will be released on May 06,. so you can expect on that date,. And also be aware to see the MNNIT website updates till the admission lists is finalized. Now, semester exams were being conducted @MNNIT,. so Anurag sir might be busy in that, so take ur queries through a call in his free time and ask him if any,. it will be time saving for him too,.
