CAT 2009 Study Group-Kolkata -
19-01-2009, 09:47 PM
Hi..
There are similar threads for 2007 and 2008, but couldn't find one for 2009, hence starting this one.....Studying in a group always helps..specially while preparing for an exam like CAT, where NOTHING is rote ...So all of us, who are really passionate about belling the feline this year itself(enough dilly dally yaar), lets meet up, talk, share our ideas, plans and perspectives regarding how to do it.....Most of the other cities seem to have started, then why should we be left behind
I'll start by introducing myself...I am Rahul..Working in TCS for last 1.5 yrs...B.Tech from NIT Durgapur...wanted to appear in CAT08 but wasnt serious enough...but am determined to crack it this time...
As I am working myself, I would suggest that we meet up every weekend or at least every alternate weekend, at places which can be easily accessed by all of us...Please put forward your ideas(of course followed by your introduction ) and suggestions as to how you think we can do this..also try to give as much info abt urself as you can, including info abt any coaching classes that you might be attending...hoping to see a lot of responses and a marvellous period of learning, together...

Hello Seniors..
I am from Kolkata and appearing cat this year. I have joined a coaching class but I think personal grooming is also essential. I am finding myself very weak rather very slow while solving QA.
Any tips which can help me in this starting phase?

Hi People,
I am working with an internet consulting firm. I a big time aspirant for CAT and i want to make it big. I have been preparing fr mba for last 2-3 mnths and I came across this wonderful site PREPARE FOR MBA - Become a Manager ....it is really helpful. they have a good collection of material and all of them are free.
Lately, a renowned IMS faculty Vaibhav Mittal, who is part of their editorial team has started posting his valuable lessons on this site. Do subscribe to his feed channel or SMS channel. He is a true genious i heard a lot abt him from my friends in IMS.
Btw...how many of u are also interested in GMAT??...howz is the difficulty level any idea???

All the coachings are almost same. I will suggest you to choose the one which is near and also do some r n d visiting there.
Personally I prefer Time.
