Hi guys.....
I gave my GD-GI-PI at ABA yesterday......there were around 75 guys.....first round was GD-GI...we were in a grp of 7....invigilator was very friendly.....topic was......
"Communication is a good tool in developing relationships."
We started...then he interrrupted n stopped us after 3-4 minutes...said discussion quality was not gud......he said he just wanna see our fluency and command over language...so asked each of us to speak for 2 min......
Then same person conducted our GI...he seemes to know all....IT, Mech Engg, Statistics.....etc....my questions were....
1.Ur fav subject....?? i replied Management Information Systems...then he asked me how wud u desugn a MIS for ABA??
2. Difference betw data and information??
3. Diff bet LAN and WAN??
4. Medium used for communication in CN'n?
5. Waht is Client Server architecture??
6. Capital of Chattisgarh and uttaranchal??
7. Captain of England in curent going on test match?

Questions were pretty easy.....i answered most of them.....they picked up around 30 guys for 2nd round of PI......
in PI that fellow was president of college...old and omniscient kinda man.....
he asked many deep questions bt software negg and DBMS.....i was not able to answer most of them.....acouple of questoins on IT field...and one "How do u see urself 5 years from now?"
that all...later i was told...i've cleared the interview......they offered me PGDM course.....thats all i wished to share with u all...anybody elze having experience plz share and if any queries do post ur queries....and finally i'm not joining ABA......coz placements are impressive bot pay scales are not so gud....so waiting for Welingkar Result....all the best to u all.....bye....tc....ciao

Hmmm.... Just interested, how do u say, placements are impressive... are u ref to the companies coming in!!!

Ya....their recruiters include samsung, honeywell, HCL, ICICI Prudential, Cox and Kings etc.....list is long but payscales r not o impressive....avg payscales r merely 2.25 lakhs per annum as per BT survey 2003.....some of the guys studing thr told me tht u can get gud company and payscales if u hv some APPROACH.....rest is all mediocre.....and on the top of all.....fee is 2 lakh per annum......making total expense round above 5 lakhs....i've completed my BE in IT.....so i think i can earn tht much with my degree itself....why to pour 5 lakhs for tht.......and placements r not even 100%......they r not disclosing placements course wise.....they have 4 PG courses.....MBA, PGDM, PGDITM and MCA.....so i decided not to join...thts all....see ya....tc...bye
