hi shuv, my cat oa %ile stands at 78.84. my acads r 10th :79%, 12th :65% nd grads :56% .have work-ex in handling accounts for 33 mnths(is it relevant ?). Also i m student member of Institute of Actuaries of India with pass in one paper .cleared general insurance foundation frm IGIE-AICPCU through ur academy. i have deep interest in insurance sector .Do i have a chance 4 gd/pi? pls do reply. sunit.

i have got 85% in cat. But in eng.sec i got only 39%. Should i apply for nia. Reply as soon as possible

85 percentile will definitely fetch you a call from NIA. The last date for applying is 32st Jan. Either download the form from the website or collect it from TIME centre. And start focussing on the Insurance Sector Growth/History pertaining to India. The GD/PI section is a bit tough, so dont leave any stone unturned...!!..!!.

78.84 percentile will easily fetch u an NIA call. My friend is studying over der and his CAT score was 72 percentile. But do prepare very nicely for the GD/PI as it is a bit tough in the NIA. Do focus on the Insurance Sector with giving due importance to Indian Economy. And your Woek ex is quite gud. It will definitely supplement ur CV and it is Relevant.

I wish you all luck. and the last date for applyin for NIA is Jan 31st.

The placement scenario is really very gud at NIA. And there is no need to woory.. da placement is not unidimensional. U can go for a combination of Insurance (Compulasry) + Finance/ HR/ Marketing/ IT. So if ur percentilr ranges b/w 75 - 80 then try ur best shot for NIA. Even the fees is moderate... 5 lakhs and da placement is really gud.

The average package last year was 5.5 lakhs (C2C).
