Hi,

I am Gyan, working with Cogni since last 2 years. was really happy to see many cogni fellows here in this forum. I have been trying to get through a decent college since last year. Last year, it was an absolute debacle. No decent %iles, no calls, no conversions.

This year .. CAT - 90.47 , JMET - 1158 , SNAP - 67.25 :new_bat_angel:
hmmmm .... not that much useful, but still willing to move on with whatever I have.
No more stay in IT, this is really killing my aspirations and that too brutally.

Gearing up for SOPs right now, preferably for IITs (despo about these).

that's all ...
Gyan

Hi Guys,

This is Shashank.
I have about 2 yrs of work ex in the IT industry.
About my previous attempts of CAT ,they were just attempts and not to say much about them.I wasn't in mood of giving CAT a shot earlier,no serious studies, nothing.
But this time I am sure to make it big.I need to cross thru many milestones to reach the place where I want to be (much more miles to be travelled than most of the felow puys here).
So,guys lets just keep preparing and making sure we are on our toes and keeping the fellow members on toes.Lets crack it together.

I have joined IMS Noida and shall be joining the classes in about 2 week's time.

Cheers!!

Re: CAT 2009 for working professionals - 13-01-2009, 02:07 PM

hi puys,

CAT as we all know is a test for getting entry to the coveted IIMs...
a major chunk of the CAT takers comprises of working professionals...
also considering the fact that full time work experience has a weightage in the selection procedure, the working professionals do have an edge over the other candidates...

CAT is also known for its surprises...
which has been quite an integral part of the exam for last 2-3 years...
CAT 2006 had a equal number of questions without differential marking scheme with 5 answer options surprise...
CAT 2007 had an easy DI section...
and this time CAT 2008 surprised us by introducing a prolonged VA section...

keeping in view all the above facts, the exam preparation becomes quite a job for the working junta because of the understandable problem of not being able to squeeze out time after hectic job schedule...
also many have very GOOD managers over their heads who care so much that one is very much satisfied...
and above all, CAT 2009 will be an online test which would be a surprise in itself...

so puys start gearing up for the same...

opinions and suggestions are always welcome...
