I would like to add one thing. Just taking a leaf of my book here...
It's a great idea to prepare early n all, but we must see to it that we don't get burned out in the process. I guess I can illustrate my point with my own CAT 2008 example.
I decided to take up CAT by around Feb-March and began studying hard. By May-June, I fell sick with migraine trying to manage an immensely hectic project and MBA studies. Also, I got bugged up with the studies. I took a one week break frm studies but never got around to resuming it!!! So I literally stopped studying at the time when I should have started preps in earnest. It was a different matter on November 16th, but hey, you can't expect a Verbal intensive paper every year!
The point I'm trying make is this. Know your strengths and your capacity for hard work. Bear in mind that we need to strategize such that we peak at around October-November. We have the added pressure of managing work and studies, especially in these bad economic times(not all of us are lucky enuf to be bench for a year :-)). So don't stress yourself out and get bored with studies now itself. This ain't JEE. If your fundamentals are clear, the test is designed to be cleared with a 4-5 month preparation.
Ok, enuf with the gyaan! Hope my 2 cents helps where it may!
