Which all campuses does the consulting biggie Mckinsey visit...any other college besides the IIMs( and that to all the IIMs) plus is there salary differentials vis -a-vis IIM and non-IIM colleges...heard the packages vary for A guys from the rest...

McKinsey may not visit many campuses within India but I am not too sure whether the Top institutes would like to allow a company which pays less to their students compared to other Institutes.
From what I have heard, atleast XLRI, FMS and SPJain do not allow companies which would pay less to their students......

well, i know that they come to MDI,gurg. it's given in their prospectus...surprisingly, i've even checked the CAMPUS RECRUITMENT given in the noticeboard of FORE school of mngmnt...this time, mckinsey has recuited one student ( a sardar) from FORE/.

thts for their back end ops and knowledge centres...for strat they recruit only frm toppers of ABC and IITs M/D/B...a very CG oriented process i must say...
There is also case of off campus placment frm XL....

p.s for others : waise for enggs what they do is shortlist students from various IITs <number of students called vary from 1-3>and maybe a few RECs on the basis of CGPA, background, extracurrics etc. and all the shortlisted candidtates are called to delhi for interviews and group discussions. out of all the students shortlisted finally 1-2 get thru.

Well I have heard.. and rather seen the Proff telling in the presentation..!!

KJ SIMSR had 2 placements in McKinsey Knowledge Center.. !!

Not sure what McKinsey Knowledge Center is ... though it seems to be an associate of the parent body only..!!

So add that to the list..

McKinsey’s offshore knowledge centre provides research support and other information services to consultants....its like an outsourced research / service centre....if the consults have queries or need support int erms of analysis/ backup data, for gathering of which they dont have time, people at KC proveds thm with it....but im pretty doubtful bout any cahnce to meet up with clients/customers..mostly an internal thingie...

agian i pose a Q to the person who started the thread....

Why dya want the answer for this Q ? is it something spefcific to ur career plans or jus for info ?
