In my opinion, 45 would not be a bad score in this kind of VA...
For next years aspirants: Learn from this, don't try to emulate a strategy that worked before... and don't read too much into the Mocks they might be just fixating you on that very strategy... which might bounce back on D-day!
Sorry for the long post.

I totally agree wid u......i hav been telling this continuously to my friends that this VA paper was by no means easy and why all coaching junta are claiming it to be a welcome relief........
Though i m an engineer, my english is not bad and i cleared aimcat cutoffs 15 times out of 20 aimcats and all cleared with 90+ percentile........when i attempted the eu section, i was finding ot very very challenging and a tought nut to crack...akay i agree that i attempted only 2 RC's (which i discovered that it had quality english even above aimcat standards and question choices were also close) and addition of one more RC would have added atlleast 10-15 marks to my scores but that can be only wishful thinking bcozzz lot of people would have thought to maximize their attempts and turned to grammar and vocab part....and they were very tough as we know realize that many of them are still debatable as to most pertinent choice.......in nutshell, i wont be surprised to see 85 percentile at 32-33 marks considering last year people got some 93-94 percentile at 26-27 marks......
one more thing, since both QA and DI were tough, many students would hav liked to giv some extra time to these sections in order to clear the cutoffs in these sections and consequently not able to giv more time to eu......
anyways, we will come to know abt it on 9th jan...
