To whom it may concern,
With excellent facilities, marvellous campus spreading over 150 acres and state-of-the-art technologies, being a part of IIITM Gwalior is not just by sheer chance.
It is a deemed university and an autonomous institution directly under the MHRD, Govt. of India. It's abundant in funds and provides you the independence to pursue your own area of interest. The fees has been discussed over and over again.
Let me discuss the courses conducted here:
Integrated Post Graduate (IPG) inducted through AIEEE is a premier course where B.Tech + M.Tech and B.Tech + MBA is obtained in 5 years.
MBA inducted through CAT (only) is the PG course in the field of management
M.Tech inducted through GATE is the PG course in the field of IT and VLSI etc.
All students who finally are inducted in the above courses are those who have the mettle and are some of the very best this country has produced.
All are awarded
Masters degree rather than PGDBM, PGDM or PGP as in other autonomous institutes. Even IIMs have the power to award only PGDBM and not Masters degree. So what's the benefit??? Benefit doesn't seem to be coming unless you come in a situation where a mastersdegree is required by a foreign institute or a foreign company. If you are going for a higher degree or something in that line a PGDBM etc courses won't fulfil your criteria.
Course pedagogy in MBA is inclusive of the management concepts as well as the essentials in IT management. With IT circumventing the management profession, it is imperative on our part to entwine them. The lectures and classes are delivered by not less than a doctorate. Apart from the regular faculties, there are guest lectures on subjects of importance by prominent faces and industry stalwarts. The institute follows the grading system and students are evaluated on a continuous basis. With presentations, assignments, seminars, class tests, minors going round the year it keeps one in high spirits. Most assignments are to be submitted online.
Placements: -
With most MBA aspirants wondering about the lucrative packages that B-Schools offer, of course, we are making no less headway. Over the years students have been placed in top-notch companies of the world. This is a a very young institution and expecting it to touch the sky in single jump would be mockery. The companies visiting our institutes are overall the same that visit IIT Mumbai-SJMSOM or IIT Kgp-VGSOM, DOMS of IIT Delhi. There is a gloom presently in most management institutes because of the global slowdown. So we are also feeling the heat but surely placements would go on, may be not with so much enthusiasm as in previous years.
In this regard the placement cell is working day in and day out. To facilitate industry interaction and develop human resource, the institute is conducting an HR summit in January last week.

Our institute is competitive with big B-Schools and we have left our mark in many national and international competitions and contests.
I think I have broadly covered most aspects of this management institutes. I am presently in my 1st year of MBA and I am an ECE graduate from NIT and with >1.5 yrs work-ex during my graduation. The talent pool you get here would not be available in other institutes for sure as you would understand that only Students with Technical background are eligible (B.Tech/B.E/MCA) to apply.
Please feel free to have more queries.
Thank you,
