guys i had calculated the number of test givers, which is coming out to be 15k or so. So all those drools abt 25k n 30k are hoax or what?

there was a huge drop of appearing students on account of holidays
20 k is a reasonable figure

25 k is inflated

How did u calculate 15k? did u use the data of catastrophe and divide his rank by 0.74 (100 - his percentile)? coz that will not give a correct answer since the ranks as u know r only awarded to ppl who clear all the cutoffs....so the figure shd be around 20k-25k....anyway, doesnt matter a lot, as long as it is a sufficient number to represent the entire CAT taking junta....

ya had calculated it considering there are 98 guys above me....while ignoring the guys hu scored more than me and didnt get rank may be fatal to this calc....as multiplying factor is 1.0067/0.0067......but still how many guys ud score >161.5 with out clearing all cutoffs......it cant be 60-65 (to get the fig. of 25k)..........

people who wrote this one were a lot more as compared to the previous 13th simcat which had just close to 12-13k people who wrote it........last time i saw a 99.2 %ile giving a rank of 78...........this time i have 99.44 and still have a rank of 89..........so u can guess........

last time there were many who missed sectional and they were in huge numbers
this time even though the sectional cutoffs are high
anyone who has got high scores, is very unlikely to miss sectional and still manage such high scores
