Really honoured...and ecstatic,elated,overjoyed...and d list goes on and on and on....
mus say its a very good composition this team has....very balanced...and most importantly this team looks very promising to carry forward the UDT legacy in the season ahead....

hereby i confirm ma acceptance of the offer in this elite league....wanted to be in this team since d day i first came across UDT 06 thread...spurned once...accepted d 2nd time....now time to live up2 d faith....to do justice to the selection....

wil give ma all for this team....luking fwd to learn,unlearn with the best in the business....hope its gonna be a great last lap for all of us here...a very memorable journey....
UDT 07 inspires all of us....we gotto set the bar higher...

fight for the IIMs begin....and DT...well we would like the scores in this thread to do the talking....

A biiiiiig Thaaaank U first of all! This came as a total surprise. Just got back from my work
Got to know abt the PG leagues very recently. WIth that i started following the Hyd heroes league. Found a couple of guys extremely helpful here especially Karan Maroo was always there with his prompt replies..
Had given CAT earlier and had a couple of friends who were with me till the last time. On the way some got thru, some fell on the way side and here i was all alone (atleast till a couple of weeks back). Things suddenly changed when i found that people at PG are more than just a study group.

Meanwhile i started following more threads the quant thread was one such thread. Found Implex bhai there. This guy changed the way i looked at CAT. This guy was posting at 3:45 AM on this thread. Compared myself with this guy ...Everyday by 10 :30 PM i am in my eleventh dream snoring my way to glory....and then there is someone like Implex....It was an eye opener of sorts for me....Started putting in more efforts and it was last week when i found Green Span's post on the hyderabad DT thread abt the UDT and DT. Thought this was the place for me to draw some inspiration....

A brief intro
Myself Orangutan! (I can swear that this is not my real name but mummy kehti hain dont post ur name on the net)

Engineering from CBIT hyd in Electronics and Comm.
Had a taste of CAT in 2005 itself scored 96.XX (Scored abt 67 percentile in DI)
Joined a IT Service Major (as most of us did in my time) in Hyd itself. Have been working for that ever since
CAT 2007 95.XX (this time Quant played the spoil sport Scored abt 75 %ile in quant). This time gave the other exams as well. COuld Convert SIBM and NMAT. But did not join as was expecting great things from my work until the US Sub prime started taking its toll

and then the CAT 2008. (with a few extra pounds and a bit more sanity)

Mocks have been Good
My only strength which is worth mentioning is Quant now
WIth Verbal being so dicey can never count it as my strength. But would love to do something abt this and convert this into my strength. (Read Read and Read more of heavy stuff) Data Interpretation has been a strong point aswell but am still struggling to find my bearing in the logical reasoning part.

Guys If I dont do it this time then i formally accept that I am a loser. So have no other option but to go all out from here on

Hey All!!!!

I have been an avid follower of UDT threads for the past 2 years! First time, i was amazed to see the passion that UDT 06 had. Then came UDT 07 and gave DT 07 a big run for their money!!!

Now UDT 08 and I am sure that the members will Rip CAT LRC(left right n center i.e). Hope the Camaradarie is such that it lives upto the Tag of UDT. The Goal stays on Top and the Willingness to help a fellow team member crosses all paths!!!

You guys have a Great Captain in Kapur.Arun!! (fellowmember DDT).! and I am sure he will lead from the Front!!

Stay Focussed coz now is the time!!!

Hello !

Thank you Prem bhai for doing the honours.

It's an honour to be asked to select the UDT members.

For everybody who is feeling disappointed at having missed out... I was really hoping to make it to UDT 2006, but I did not. Frankly, there were people with better mock scores than me. But I knew that I had it in me to crack CAT, and although it was disappointing, I managed to put it behind me. I did one mistake though - I stayed off the UDT thread because I wasn't in. I realized it was a silly thing to do last year, when I made it. Nobody will ever treat you like an outsider even if you aint a UDT member and you post. Just join in. In the end, it's about helping each other and going ahead as a group. So as unfair as it might feel to some of you ( and I dont blame you at all, it was very tough to leave out some of you guys ), hang around and keep visiting this place.

And @orangutan : no, you aint a loser if you dont crack an exam. Life's much more than that. Keep fighting. Why does it have to be your last shot? By saying that, you end up putting unnecessary pressure on yourself.

I'll say it again : the path becomes steeper and steeper the more you increase the stakes. Chill, relax and enjoy the thing. Look forward to what surprises the IIMs will throw at you.
