Mandevian/UDTian/Pagal reporting from NCR!

I've managed to survive the first few weeks here, though I was royally screwed for the privilage of being a senior's brotherThe gang here is awesome, which is why this post is so delayed (I need time to run about the girls too, you see). My room has a kitchen, balcony and attached toilet, and looks more like a ho(s)tel room

I've been awake till 5 AMfor the past few days, waking up for lunch, movie, sports, gymming (?) etc. The club applications have just started here, and I plan to join almost all of them!

There's just so much to do on campus, you rarely if ever manage to come online! Hope all you guys are living your dreams to the fullest like me

Hope to meet ya'all at a fest soon! Keep posting updates UDTians!

life is little hectic here....der is lot of pressure of performance, i had 6 quizzes in last 8 wrking days n i flunked in one......

Man i thought i knew Excel n ignored this subject a bit...n in quiz i had my worst % perforamance of life, anyway WIMWI brings everyone whos flying in the air ,on the ground.......... hence here im @3 am in Night wrking on excel......

dng decently in other subjects specially dreaded MANAC ....
getting accustomed to Nocturnal life..

i also played cricket fr few hrs on Monday,

hi guys i dont know whether i should write this or not.. but i guess i need your help..i would be giving this 09 attempt and have been working from last 4 months for that and today with another 4 months left i think i must be true to myself.. at this point in time i feel really shaky i dont know where i stand 70 to 80 percentiles in couple of mocks i cant see things getting in shape.. though i have 4 months with me but i guess the most important thing that is the passion is missing.. in whatever feilds i have been intotill now and by the grace of god done a respectably well everytime i was passionate about what i want to get and that is what i am lacking this time around.. in this journey of life till now everyone around me have seen me winning but this time around i know deep inside my heart i am lacking something and that is the reason i am always on thread like these, kines to live by, all i wanna speak abt cat because i know if i get that feel in me then things would automatically get in shape but i guess things are not working out
i dont know 4 months down the line where i would be standing but today everything seems really blurred.. honestly speaking i dont want to loose this game but i guess you cant win them all

Hey,Its just a matter of time before you get into a groove.Also,use the initial mocks to get your strategy right,balance your scores and getting a hang of the various aspects of the test.After that,you can build on a strategy which suits you best.

Regarding the intensity,focus on why you want to do an MBA.It can be anything and I mean any damn reason If you see on the threads you have mentioned,each one of them had a reason which propelled them and made the world see a side of them which no one had seen/expected to see.This reason you need to find for yourself,and am sure you will find one

If you see,CAT is a very simple exam.Its we who make it complicated.Try keeping things simple and keep analysing the mocks and who knows,there might be a good score hiding behind 1017/1016/1015 whichever you take

dude reading ur post i felt as if was going back thru my ordeal with AIMCATs see if i were to put up my scores during the last CAT season u wud find me crossing the final frontier ie.. 99%tile only once with scores of 95+ few and far between. i believed that on a given day had the mental strength to crack CAT which means cracking CAT is different for different people for me during this time last yr it was getting calls from top 10-15 b skools

its ultimately ur mind set which decides the make or break people who have torn apart the AIMCAT have crumbled in the Waterloo. its all abt belief in urself PG has hordes of such glittering stories from which u can draw inspiration.

Take it easy bro.......... i screwed up CAT 07 just because anxiety n nervousness.......
i always say , njoy CAT exp, dnt read too much into ur mock scores....i scored 72% in one of the mocks..........

Chill, go party, hv GF, watch movies ....do whatever u like to ward off anxiety .... u dnt need to wrk 24*7 to clear CAT.... 2-3 hrs a day is more thn enough.

Be in cnt with with Guys lik Shashank n IIMManiac u will get required dose of motivation frm them n try to be part of UDT 09.
