Please shift specific MICAT papers- question discussion to the thread mica2009. Lets keep this thread clutter free with queries only for Deval Ma'am.
Hope you don't mind.
Cheers and ATB

as far as i have heard ... MICA gives call to almost 1000-1200 people for 120 seats ..... so the conversion ration is nearly 10:1 ... thats why my friends have said that "converting a MICA call is even tougher than converting a IIM-A call"

Yaar...almost all the colleges are having 10:1 ratio. Say for example, 1200 calls for 120 NIRMA seats, 1600 calls for 160 TAPMI seats, 1000000 calls for 150 Symbi seats and 3000 odd calls for 360 nm seats.

So, i dont think there's n e thing wrong or new in this??? You will have to give your 100% in the second stage of process any where and every where.

That's only a saying dude ... moreover, if u actually check out ... for NM and TAPMI .. not all the call getters turn up for the interview ... same for symbi .... but for MICA .. i guess its a 100% turn out ...

100% turn out!! I'm not sure where you are getting these facts!!
And I would expect a higher number of calls for the MICAT, at least 5000 and not 1000!!

hi deval maam
thanks for your patience in clearing aour doubts
in one of the posts of mica 2009 somebody has mentioned that if you leave a single question of pschometry section unatttempted then your paper will not be checked
is it true???
also iin instructions it is mentioned that all questions are compulsory
so do we have negative marking for unattempeted questions?
what is the marking scheme?are essays given more weightage?
I am asking in case we have to miss questions which ones we should leaave the objective or the essay?i know we cannot leave all 4 essays but if essay has more weightage i m planning to attempt all of them at the start of paper?is it correct strategy
