I compiled all of your important replies along with chuck's, chinmaya's, utsavmoria's important posts in the 2007 thread for my reference as a pdf....

I think it might be helpful for other MICA aspirants too...

Hi mam,
Please excuse me if this query has been answered before but i went through last 10 pages and i didn't get any clear cut idea so asking this query:

Candidates are shortlisted (for ge/pi)solely on the basis of CAT/GMAT score or acads or work ex are also given weightage?????
I m asking this coz my expected percentile in cat08 is more that 92% (within each section more than75% and eu 93%).. but a super bad acads till now....

Hey Saket

Candidates are first shortlisted for MICAT based on CAT/GMAT scores. If they clear that they are called for GE/PI and that's when we also look at their acads. However, we do take good students even if they had 'super bad' acads in past.

Let me just add one bit here. As a counselor on this thread for the second year, and over all guiding students for last seven years, there is one thing I must tell you again. Whether it is B schools for their selections, or recruiters for job selections - all look for a positive attitude in a candidate. Infact CEO of a very reputed company says that skills can be taught. He would rather hire person for his/her attitude. One must make the right attempt in the direction where attitude is not crossing the line of arrogance.

I hope you get the point.
