Dear Its_i,

Yours probably is a borderline case. While a score of 87 MIGHT get u a 90 percentile, 77 will fall well short. At the end of the day its your call. However you can go to TIME or Career Launcher websites and use the percentile calculator to get an approximate percentile. If I were you, i would give a shot. Keep your fingers crossed and ATB

My estimated score in CAT looks like this- QA 10 DI 27 VA 54. Could the CAT wizards translate this score to ground zero reality please? I fancy myself as a contender for a MICAT call, since QA and DI should make it past the mandatory 50 percentile cut-off expected by MICA. My VA score looks healthy.

OK...last year the overall cut off was 89 percentile. So if your friend is in 1st year, chances are she got 89 and not 85. If she is in second year, may be she got 85 as the cut off changes every year.

MICAT comprises of a psychometric test, a section on quant, a section on precise writing and couple of essays.

Good luck
Deval
thanx for replying in..ma senior is in second year so dis clarifies al mi doubts..

Re: [2008] Ask MICA Ahmedabad: Official Admission Query Thread feat. Prof Deval Karti - 18-11-2008, 09:44 PM

Hi All,
I am stuck in a strange situation. My projected scores as per both time and ims is as follows-:
QA-18
DI-16
VA-95
overall-125+
Now as a MICA aspirant the question foremost on my mind is whether a 16 in DI will be good enough for a 50 percentile.Since it is clearly stated that a minimum of 50 is required in DI for a MICAT call, could anyone tell me incase of me falling slightly shy of the 50 mark, will my high VA and repectable OA marks be considered and whether any leniency will be shown in this regard?Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
rd

Hi
I wanted to enquire about Executive MBA programme at MICA, last year it started and ended in a jiffy.
GD/PI 15,16 march and class started on 18th march or something as per adv.

Plz tell about the dates for this year as no info is available on the site and by any chance if it is going to be the dates like the last year, then it's definitely going to affect the no of work-ex ppl joining as they may not get released from their assignments on such short notice.

Dream it ....Do it !!!

Hello ma'am,
Thank you for taking the time out to answer our questions.
Was wondering, even though it has been asked by someone a couple of posts before mine-Would you consider candidates who fall short of the 50 percentile mark,in quant , by say two percentile if they meet the overall criteria of ninety percentile and above ?

Well, I only hope there are lots like you and that would make us really feel that we should consider them.

Seriously, can't say anything at the moment. But let's wait and watch by the time all filled in forms come up

Cheers and ATB
Deval
